It claims as much in the Koran (Al Baqarah, 2:62). I found that pretty refreshing. Do contemporary Muslims believe this?

Don't pretend to answer a question that is not even addressed to you if you're not going to put forth any effort! This is why I asked; it seems the Bible actually leads to a MORE intolerant attitude than the Koran, and you have demonstrated that perfectly.

Yes they will go to Heaven also if they
1. worship Lord the Father as Jesus taught and he himself worshipped Father (the real God),
2. be good to other humans,
3. stop occupying other countries for material resources,
4. stop killing people who do nothing to your people,
5. stop wasting money in restaurants throwing half the food
you oder and instead feed the poors who don't have
enough to eat.
AND GOD WILL BLESS YOU WITH GOOD HEALTH.
Keep wearing excess food on your bodies is not blessing of God. Its is sickness of addiction with food.
The amount of food Americans waste, can feed most of the hungry people in Africa.

Yes it does. I know that Christians and Jews who followed the prophets(PBUT*) before Jesus(PBUH*) can go to Jinnah(Heaven) as long as they did good deeds on Earth.
Sura 2:62
62.Surely, those who believe, those who are Jewish, the Christians, and the converts; anyone who (1) believes in GOD, and (2) believes in the Last Day, and (3) leads a righteous life, will receive their recompense from their Lord.
They have nothing to fear, nor will they grieve.
Sura 5:65:
65.If only the people of the scripture believe and lead a righteous life, we will then remit their sins, and admit them into gardens of bliss.
Christians in the Qur'an are defined as those who do not worship Prophet Jesus(PBUH*) as a God.

Yes according to the Kuran, Christians and other people of the book do go to a level heaven though not as a high level as devout Muslims.

2:62 Those who believe (in the Qur'an), and those who follow the Jewish (scriptures), and the Christians and the Sabians,- any who believe in Allah and the Last Day, and work righteousness, shall have their reward with their Lord; on them shall be no fear, nor shall they grieve.
Says so in the Quran, of course we believe it! :-D

yes they can but certainly not the ones who swear at the prophet who was chosen to follow Jesuses way.

Yes , they can, it is in Qoran, but it depends on their stuations and relations with Allah, and just Allah can know it. that s why we r not able to judge anybody..
