How much of it is there?
My dogs get what I call eye boogies once in awhile in the corners of their eyes by the nose and I just wipe it away with a warm moist paper towel.
If it is more like a heavy seepage and occurs often you should get them checked for allergies,or at least that's what I would do.
Hope your girl is OK.

My dog is a yorkshire terrier and this happens to her all of the time. If you go to the store and buy doggy wipes or even baby wipes can work, you can wipe the mucus off of their eyes and they'll be fine. If you are still concerned, I would contact your vet and make sure everything is ok. Some breeds do this naturally such as my dog. Good luck!

Wow all these answers??
If its yellow or green see a vet you will need antibiotics. If not just wipe it away and watch for it to get worse by turning yellow or green.
This can often happen when the seasons change.

Is it like a sticky consistency? If so then usually it is like "sleep" in humans eyes, ya know the hard crusty particles in the corners of your eyes when you wake up. Dogs "sleep" just doesn't get hard it stay wet. No worries!

Since we can't legally pass out medical advice I would take the dog to the vet. Better safe than sorry! They feel pain and discomfort too.
Good Luck!

If it looks like its just sleep like what we get than just wipe it off. A lot of dogs when they are older get it. But, if it doesnt look normal and she keeps getting it and it gets worse than take her to vet.

Allergies can also do this... my mother-in-law's Corgi has allergies and has discharge coming from his eyes that we constantly have to clean.

Sounds like an eye infection, she might have scratched it or something, it'd best to take her to the vets, you wouldn't want to compromise her vision just in case, its probably nothing but best to have it checked out.
