No. Paganism is a group of religions, just as Christianity is a group of religions.

Celtic Wicca, Dianic Wicca, Asatru and such are religions that are part of NeoPaganism, just as Catholicism, Methodism and such are part of Christianity.

I would say Paganism is just a blanket term for alot of different beliefs systems that are not Christian. Paganism in itself is not a religion. But there are probably some systems within Paganism that could be considered religious.

It's more a generic term for a class of religions. There are people who are sort of "generic pagans," just as there are people who are generic Christians -- C. S. Lewis called that "Mere Christianity." But the term "religion" is generally applied to something rather more organized than that individuality which is generic paganism.

In itself, it is generally considered to be a collection of religions.

But I use Pagan with a capital P because I'm eclectic. I consider Paganism my religion, though I don't follow one specific pagan religion.

Asking if paganism is a religion is similar to asking if a vegetable is part of the plant kingdom. Of course the answer is yes, but it is a very broad definition that encompasses many views of spirituality.

I am pagan. But I do not regard paganism as a religion. It is a faith , belief system.

Paganism is a broad term used to describe many different Religions. It is generally used for any religion that isn't Judaism/Christain/Muslim.
