I have a bit of a blaise attitude towards myself me thinks. I am on 10mg of Lexapro daily and into my seventh week. I like to have 3-4 standard drinks per night and take my Lexapro before bed. I feel fine but am I doing myself any harm?

I've been on Lexapro. You are drinking too much, I would say a glass would be okay, but 3-4 can lead to toxity and change the composition fo the medication. There is good possibility of anxiety, unstability, and depression. I was drinking with anti-depressants, and I tried suicide on two occasions and believe me that was no fun. Lots of suffering. Many of the medications build up in the system. Because you are asking this question, I think you know the answer. Please be careful!

Straight from the horse's mouth:

Q. Can I drink alcoholic beverages while taking Lexapro?

A. As with many other medications, you should avoid drinking alcoholic beverages while being treated with Lexapro.

Besides that, 3 to 4 standard drinks per day is too much. That by itself indicates you have a drinking problem. It may be related to your depression, either cause or effect. Please discuss this with your therapist!

did i write this? nicely, for sure no longer, yet i'd desire to have. After being on Paxil decrease back whilst it replaced right into a sparkling drug interior the industry and at as quickly as going from a million/2 to 5 (confident, 5) little pink pills an afternoon the withdrawals have been too plenty to deal with as quickly as I (oh so wisely) desperate that i may well be greater helpful waiting to deal with myself if i might self-medicate. of path some months and fairly some bottles later i discovered myself decrease back interior the physician's workplace and after the undesirable withdrawal journey from Paxil, I refused to pass everywhere close to it lower back. rather I have been given Lexapro, Cymbalta, Wellbutrin, Zoloft, Prozac and Effexor. you're meant to grant them each some weeks to kick in and the reasoning that it many times gets worse till now it gets greater helpful no longer basically did no longer make experience, yet wasn't something i presumed i'd desire to deal with, nor replaced into I prepared to attempt. yet what I remember of Lexapro did a similar element for me, leaving me with stress, a hangover and a prefer for some xanax. in case you give up eating, then the Lexapro ok would artwork for you, yet you will no longer have of venture for it to, through fact in the process the 'adjustment' era you are going to prefer a drink or 10 to deal with the side-effects.

Yes, you should never mix medication with alcohol...I am sure your therapist will agree....it's not going to do you any good...the medication might now even work or it might make this worse for you
