If you believe, as I have heard some who do (at conferences and such - read books) that the earth was created by a big bang, but...
in the words of one "I just know you banged it!"

Do you believe;
1) That we banged and had a carbon planet that evolved into something?

Or
2)That we banged and then God set people on the earth.

Now state 1 or 2, or other and fill me in.

Second question,

if you chose 1, and claim to be religious (accepting at least genesis) then how do you claim to believe the Bible (at least genesis) because it plainly states that God created things in an order at one time.

No yom = day = period of time
stuff...

Every time in the Bible Yom is used WITH A NUMERAL (first day second day ect.)
1 physical morning and evening day is meant, and in addition the Bible states "and there was morning and evening the 'first' day"...

Please stay respectful, I am wondering about beliefs.

Thank you.

he who can not sleep - your answer does not make sense, all I stated was the Bible says God made the earth and everything in six literal days, I wanted to know how anyone who believes the Bible can disagree with that.

Kent-shakespear, thank you, I understand that non literal Bible believers are 'christians' but those aren't the ones I am wondering about, I don't have a problem with them, as they believe the same thing all the time, in this instance, it is those who claim to be litteral Bible believers, but believe in a non litteral translation of Genesis, that I am refering to. Thank you though. I had hoped to get more of a responce on this question.

Not a Christian, but I would point out that you seem to assume Christian automatically equates to biblical literalism.

This is not a universal assumption, nor has it been, historically. The notion that only literalists are Christians is actually a rather recent development.

I don't think we'll ever know the answer to this question. The Bible does state days. However, it just says God spoke and things happened. "God said, 'Let there be light, and there was light.'" This doesn't exactly need a scientific explanation. He could have simply made it appear. However, there's the possibility that it caused particles to bang together and cause the earth to be formed. Where the particles came from is irrelevant because where they came from does not change whether they were there or not if there even were any particles. As I said, He could have simply just spoke and it happened with no scientific explanation involved. I mean, He's God, He doesn't need materials to create something. As for evolution, quite honestly, there are so many flaws and loop holes the belief is highly unstable based on the scientific data currently obtained. I don't understand how things work for one thing but don't work in other cases. If it is suppose to be a law then it should not have loop holes and exceptions. If you read the Bible none of the laws in it have loop holes or exceptions. However remember this. God did not write the Bible. People God inspired wrote the Bible. In the Old Testament the people generally had direct contact with God, the ones writing the Bible, so God told them what to do. In other cases, the writers simply wrote down events as they occurred. The New Testament is based off the life Jesus lived since Jesus was God. Mainly the disciples of Christ wrote the New Testament, except for Paul. Paul had direct contact with God. Read Paul's story of conviction. Before he was a great prophet, he actually was King Saul and he hated Christians. As a matter of fact, the day he converted he was headed to a town known to be full of Christians. His intent was to slaughter them. However, on his way there, God stopped him in his tracks and basically say convert and become a prophet for God or die because God wasn't going to let him kill the Christians. Saul was convicted and he became a great follower of Christ. His name was then changed to Paul. Paul then shared his experience with a friend Timothy. So the things Timothy writes, it was actually a letter in response to Paul's letter to him. Anyway never lose your faith in Jesus no matter what people say. The devil may tempt, but if you have the faith of a mustard seed, you cannot be moved. And there's truth to that statement.

Follow the order... and you will see it does not contradict if you interpret it in a non 100% perfectly litteral way.

I don;t think you know enough about either subject and should study theoretical psychics more.

I got to go, so I can't spend 2 hours explaining it
