It seems reasonable that one can get too much sleep, but it's also reasonable that excessive sleep may be influenced by anemia, depression, or other conditions. Does the saying have its roots in science, or is it primarily a way to try to get someone out of bed by making the person sound lazy?

Quality sleep with great life , everybody with morals , would want. Sure , more factors, anemia , depression , LOW THYROID, flu, plus will keep somebody sleeping longer.

I think the term " The more sleep you get, the more you want" was based on ignorace . IGnorance in what 's medicly happening in the human body.
