Because she feels she doesn't have a way out. She may have no money, and no escape plan. She may benefit from a shelter for abused women.

it's simple. she's damn stupid and she doesn't love you. And she loves her family. whoever you are don't let her use you either, lol. she's just looking around to meet her needs. I'm working abroad, too. That's what they say if they want to cheat.

I strongly disagree with one answerer that women in the Philippines lack education. Most of my countrymen may be less fortunate than those from other countries, but I can say that, compared to other Asian countries, Philippine population have better education. Filipino parents will do their best just to send their children to school. Gender equality is prevalent. Our president is a woman.

What the h*** is that woman talked about her husband may not be true and is just doing it to gain sympathy from other man while she's away from him. If she's still working abroad, she has all the chances to walk out of that marriage.

In many cultures, daughters are taught from their early childhood that once they are married to some one, she has to pass her entire life with him only till death.There is no question of any divorce.
Secondly, inhabitants of Philippine have all along been deprived of education.Lack of education keeps the women bound to such tyrannical husbands, against her will. She cannot think of any other alternative.
