Stress, lack of sleep, hormones,age, likes/dislikes. If we like something we tend to remember it better.
If you want to improve your memory keep a journal or write important dates. Keep a calender, make notes on that too. The more you work your mind the better it performs. Read more, watch less TV/computor/video games. Do puzzles.
