Beslan, 9/11, 7/7 in the UK, failed doctors in Glasgow Airport, A teddy bear named Mohammed, suicide bombers almost daily, a raped girl in Saudi getting 6m in jail and 200 lashes, beheading in public for rejecting islam, Sharia law dictating how a country is governed, no gays in Iran (yeah, right!) and on and on and on.
Sexually-repressed Saudi youth obsessed with porn, etc, etc.

Why don't the nice muslims DO SOMETHING about the bad publicity??? Scared? Yes - I believe so.

That there's probably a lot of good ones out there, but they seem to be too cowardly to stand up and fight the fanaticism that is dominating the view of their religion... so they either support the radicals, or don't care enough to stand up and say something against them.

I spent a year in the middle east when I was in the military and I saw first hand how CRAZY the radicals and the extremist are. But I also saw that there were some really nice people there. Just the nice people did or said nothing about the extremists.

Not much about their doctrines, beliefs, etc.
I had a good friend in grad school who was from Kuwait, and Muslim. We shared a lot about our faiths to each other.
It surprised me how much we had in common, and how well she knew the Bible. She was no terrorist, she was an honest person following her beliefs. I respect that.
