I agree.
Another telltale sign if "Black Friday" and the rampant consumerism in this country. There are many people who were camping out in front of department stores on Thanksgiving Day instead of spending it with their families.
The Christmas shopping season began the evening of Thanksgiviing Day. In the not too far future, we will probably just abandon Thanksgiving.

First I disagree with your characterization. The country was founded in pursuit of a number of fairly high ideals. There were also economic factors, and individuals who certainly were motivated by greed.
It is always a mistake to impose 21st century beliefs or understandings on 17th and 18th century actions. There was no such concept as genocide, and slavery was an issue debated by, in good faith, by men on both sides of the question.
Now to your question - I suggest that the government of the country is founded on the notion of compromise. Politics is described as the art of the possible - which means bringing together enough people to achieve a majority vote on a question. To do this, one must compromise.
Christianity is not a religion of compromise, at its best. Christ was quoted as being especially harsh on people who wanted to serve two Masters.
So the answer to your question may be yes, US principles and Christianity are in opposition, although not for the reasons you suggest.

"greed"? "genocide"? "slavery"? Your question is inflammatory: What nation hasn't had at least one of these things in part, and what history books have you read that state these as the primary foundations of any country?
Furthermore, you seem to have made up your own mind about it, so why bother to ask the question?
Also, using "our lord's" name in vain also makes it apparent that you are not a religious individual, and are merely trying to instigate a "flame" war of some kind (not everyone is Christian, ya know!).
Please find a religious blog to voice your obvious one-sided "opinions", and leave this website to those genuinely interested in honest and open referendums.

America is based on the fact that you can have whatever belief that you want and not be thrown in prison... Not everyone in the US is Christian. There are a ton of other religious beliefs that all believe that their religion is the One religion.
Check out the bill of rights. Gives us our freedoms. :)

If you have ever read the bible then you would understand that God knew the earth was the way it was. that is why he try to start over clean with the flood. He then realized that people have to choose for themselves. So he vowed with a rainbow that he would never destroy the earth with a flood again. He knew that people would be greedy and not follow by him. Its hard to make conclusions about christians if you do not know the bible.

I agree 100%.
This is not a Christian nation. It's more like Corinth was, come one, come all.
