Because the hospitals would not permit all the cameras and sound men and his entourage, etc. Also, there would be witnesses to the fact that they only choose certain types of patients; ones that can appear to be healed, whether or not they actually are, or whether or not there was anything other than psychological problems wrong with them in the first place. There would not be the same opportunity to control the situation and manipulate the impression of what's going on that there is on a stage which is controlled by the "healer's" minions.

It's like Birdy said, there's no money or glory in going into the hospitals or to Thrid World countries. I just can't get acclimated to TV Evangelists or even megachurches. Too impersonal and showy. As for the healings, it just seems like a production line. Come be healed so I can show my TV audience my power; leave your donation with the usher.

Benny Hinn is not a prophet. He is a deceiver, & yes I am a Christian, But in my 37 yrs. as a Christian, believe me, I have seen my part of this so called ministry of these TV preachers, & NONE of them will preach the whole truth, they go so far & stop. The bible does not say that healing is the only gospel, But the truth of God's word is. They stop on divine healing & can Not go any further into Truth. But the bride will take both & go on with God.

I myself have pondered this question. But we cannot be sure that Benny Hinn doesn't visit the hospitals. It is just the crusades on television we see. It is the Power of God that heals, and not Benny Hinn. The thing I don't understand is why he needs to hit them on the forehead 2 or 3 times before they fall out...seems to me that God would get it right the first time.

Yes. It is because they are fakes. Jesus and the apostles cured people wherever they found them including going to watering places and fountains where miracles were said to occur, where they could try to get healed. They were often mistaken for pagan gods as they healed unbelievers first, then preached to them.
Once, Jesus even walked up to a funeral procession and resurrected the man.
But the miraculous gifts were to end first century when the Bible was complete....
No one has done these things since. The ones coming up to heal or get saved are often plants.
In our local paper, Billy Graham admitted he always sent his helpers ahead to cities and they got 6,000 people to walk up and "get saved"....supposedly so others wouldn't get shy about going up....as if walking up and getting touched by a big evangelist means you are saved. John 5:43, 44.

People who actually have the gift of healing know that it isn't given so that some showman on TV can get people to admire him and send him money. It's given to confirm to gospel message and to heal those people whom God has chosen to heal supernaturally.
As to SOME of the TV evangelists, well did Peter prophecy through the inspiration of the Spirit when he wrote:
2 Peter 2:1 But false prophets also arose among the people, just as there will be false teachers among you, who will secretly bring in destructive heresies, even denying the Master who bought them, bringing upon themselves swift destruction. 2 And many will follow their sensuality, and because of them the way of truth will be blasphemed. 3 And in their greed they will exploit you with false words. Their condemnation from long ago is not idle, and their destruction is not asleep.

A**holes like Benny Hinn and his ilk are out there to get the quick buck from the gullible multitude (establishing a religion is a great way to get rich, and they know it). A believer gets the religion he deserves.
P.S. Hey, "Ask Donna": I enjoyed your answer. Very clever indeed!

Agreed. I new a woman once who was portrayed on his special as having been "slain in the spirit" and healed and she verified that he pushed her down and then she was essentially dragged off stage.
But this post calls to mind a story I heard relayed in a sermon by the Very Reverend Ken Swanson about a pastor friend of his in New York whose name I don't recall.
The pastor had a busy day full of official church business. One of his tasks was to visit the local hospital and see two parishoners who were being treated. He was running late but he made his rounds just in time to get back to the church for a big meeting and keep rolling with his day. Walking briskly back to the elevators he glanced sideways into a room where he saw a little boy lying by himself in a bed, staring at the ceiling.
Quickly, the pastor pulled aside a closeby nurse and asked what the boy's situation was. The nurse said, "That boy is an orphan and has no family. DHS brought him to us and we discovered he has an aggressive and terminal cancer. He's basically alone and waiting to die."
Well, the pastor thought, that is simply tragic. "I will be sure to pray for that boy," he said, sincerely.
As he hurried back to his car, now running late once again, he thought back on the boy. As he put the key in the ignition, he thought to himself, "Thank you, Lord, that that is not my child." The pastor recounts that he could sense a reply as clear as day: "Oh, but he IS your child."
Looking at his clock, his gear shift, the hospital, he finally made up his mind. He called and cleared the rest of his day. He went back inside and spent the rest of the day visiting with the boy, laughing, playing games, telling stories. And as it came time for him to go home, the pastor called around to some of the church's membership and staff.
The boy died two weeks later. But from the moment the pastor walked into his room he was never alone and never wanted for someone to help him or to hurt with him.
To me, the Christian response to suffering, illness, affliction is not really to pray for a miraculous healing. If such a thing existed, we could be immortals and we'd be praying literally without ceasing for the healing of others. Certainly we wouldn't think a child dying was just God's will or it was just his time. But what we can do is be the instruments of peace and love to the world. Maybe doing that sincerely is impossible to put on television or in the center of an amphitheater on a gaudy stage. But what of the masses of us working slowly to minister to the one who really needs it? Who ask for no contributions, who do not put our personal names on a TV show, who would rather hold a hand than a microphone?

They're not real. Here's a better question, if Jesus was such a great man, why didn't he have kids, wouldn't the Son of God been the best father ever? And would his miraculous abilities been passed on to the subsequent generations?

Benny Hinn put in his book good morning holy spirit that he leaked a whole ward in a Canadian hospital.
when researched no such event was found.
when confronted he said the holy spirit told him to lie to make a point.
they are all frauds.
