Have farmers, food companies, store's, etc. gotten so lazy that they'll let anything go just for a buck?

Because everyone is paying attention to it now. You think the toys from China were just recently made with lead paint? It's probably always been there and we didn't notice it until enough people got sick or died and the media got a hold of it.

G.W. Bush and his aids throw tid-bit junk news like this into the mix when he needs to cover up something else he's doing. When Americans are focusing on recalls caused by other countries, he gets a few days of less heat. Notice there's some sort of recall or some fishy news story and then the gas goes up during that time?

That's a pretty cynical attitude.

We simply have higher/tougher food safety standards than ever before, and these regulations are doing exactly what they are supposed to do--

They catch food that might make people sick and remove them from the marketplace.

You can't see an e-coli contamination. Any animal can be carrying it. Vegetables grow in fields exposed outdoors. Any bunny, squirrel, or bird can poop in those fields... Instant contamination that no one can prevent.

because the Mexicans are the ones picking it and since we dont want them in our country no more, they were like screw it lets get em Pablo.
