that would be nice, but I doubt it is true. There are many types of cancer and there is no one cure for all of them. There is treatment available for most cancers, but not a cure.

Well that would be nice, but unfortunately, like all these stories, it is not true, and can't be true
Cancer is hundreds of diseases, not just one. The difficulty is that different cancers are caused by different things, so no one strategy can prevent them, and different cancers respond to different treatments so no one treatment can cure them all
Some cancers can be cured these days though.. Testicular cancer, Hodgkin's disease, and many cases of leukaemia can all be cured in adults with chemotherapy, most skin cancers are cured with surgery, and many cases of thyroid cancer and cancer of the larynx are cured with radiotherapy.
Many other types of cancer are also cured if they are found early enough - 75% of breast cancers that are found very early - at stage one - for example. There is still a long way to go, especially with some of the commonest types of cancer such as lung, breast, bowel and prostate cancer.
But there isn't and won't be a magic cure for all cancers.
Many people – invariably those who have not had cancer or been close to it - have pet theories about what causes and prevents it, and how to treat it. Existing treatments - chemotherapy and radiotherapy - are not perfect, far from it, but we know, because they have been clinically tested and proven, that they save some lives and extend many others.

There are always people saying that they've got a cure for cancer.
They are just preying on the desperate, making money off people who are grasping at straws because their lives have been devastated by this horrible disease.
One man in my town had the nerve to tell me that I shouldn't have bothered having my cancer removed because he just so happens to sell this tea that cures cancer.
If he or his wife contracted cancer I bet he wouldn't be trying to cure it with Dandelion tea, (that's what he was selling), he'd be looking for the best hospital treatment possible.

It depends on what they are saying. Natural Cellular Defense is one product made from natural ingredients that is pretty powerful, and per http://www.newstarget.com/015232.html it says it resulted in 78% remission in stage 4 cancer patients in a preliminary trial. That could be called a "cure" I guess.
Additionally, diet is known, without question, to affect cellular pH. If you eat acidic animal-based foods, your cellular pH is likely to be acidic, which causes disease. If you eat alkaline plant-based foods, your cellular pH is likely to be alkaline and which fights disease. It's cause and effect. There are many physiological indicators of disease such as pH, blood pressure, cholesterol, triglycerides, lymphocytes, granulocytes, weight, etc. You simply need to monitor your own health and adjust accordingly. That could be justified as a cure.
See Dr. Dean Ornish's findings in regard to disease and cancer here - http://www.rd.com/content/dr-dean-ornish-column/. He says "the more people changed their diet and lifestyle, the more improvement we measured. In order to reverse disease, people needed to make much bigger changes than most doctors had been recommending."
For reference, Dr. Guyton, an expert on human physiology states in his "Textbook of Medical Physiology" (used to educate medical students): " The first steps in maintaining health is to alkalize the body ( pH or acid/alkaline balance). This is one of the most important aspects of hormeostasis. Changes in pH alter virtually all body functions. "
"The cells of a healthy body are alkaline while the cells of a diseased body are below a pH of 7.0. The more acidic the cell, the sicker we become. If the body can not alkalize the cells they will become acidic and thus, disease sets in. Our bodies produce acid as a by product of normal metabolism. Since our bodies do not manufacture alkalinity, we must supply the alkalinity from an outside source to keep us from becoming acidic and dying."

There's no doubt two very opposing stances in the approach to curing cancer. One is by butchering or entirely removing the offending body part, and following that up with radiation or chemo treatments that leaves your immune system helpless to defend itself.
The other approach is implemented by reversing disease through optimizing your health and boosting the immune system. Thousands have had success with this method per http://www.hacres.com. You can read about it. I personally know of two from my local church. You don't have to have had cancer to show others the door to information such as http://www.annieappleseedproject.com and http://www.bcaction.org/ . You don't need a clinical trial when you have REPRODUCIBLE RESULTS. Many people say that natural healing can't be proven by the "scientific method." Wrong. Your immune system can be scientifically proven to eliminate disease. Physiologically speaking, Dr. Guyton has already shown us the way to health. We have to optimize our body and immune system with diet and lifestyle to be well.
You just need to decide which approach makes the most sense to you. One leaves you sick, weak and mutilated. The other leaves you well, strong and intact. Both have had success. It's your choice.
