My eleven month old cockapoo seems to be constipated. Is there anything I can do to help him? I just took him to the vet last week and he was fine (I spent over $300.00 and can't afford to take him again this week). Are there any home remedies for puppy constipation?

canned pumpkin not the spiced pie filling but real pumpkin or milk diluted with water or boiled liver or add some olive oil or fish oil to it's food.

Have you wormed your puppy? When my puppy was constipated, I would give her a little bit of wormer,(as most puppies have worms)about a half of dose. You don't want to do this more than once though. Also, try a couple of teaspoons of mineral oil and make sure she drinks plenty of water. If these remedies do not work, then you should probably take him to a vet.

When my pup was very constipated the vet suggested adding a little bit of plain canned pumpkin to her food. It worked! Good luck!

I am sure if you call your pups doc and just ask them over the phone they will tell you what to do or prescribe something over the phone. Especially since you were just there last week!

My friend dealt with constipation in his dogs by putting bran in their food.

You can always go to your local petsmart and get something that would assist in digestion. That way you are giving your dog medicine/supplements for dogs.
