My boyfriend and I have been going out for 4 years and 7 months we have been through a lot together, I am 19, i found out he was going to do it when i was 16/17 but i stopped him because i felt too young and the time was not right so I told him to wait a couple of years. Now we have been saving up for this special holiday for august next year (2008) and i really want him to propose then, i have no clue whether it has even crossed his mind.

Maybe you could talk with one of his friends and get the friend to give him a gentle reminder; have him say something like " you know, you and your girlfriend have been going steady for quite some time, maybe that special holiday you've planned would be a good time to pop the question, it would be so romantic". I hope it works.

yeah its simple....coz ur planning this holiday since quite some time..that itself makes it special. so when the holiday is special..that would be the best time to propose...if he is not proposing..lookin at the right moment u propose ..whats a big deal..if he rally is serious about u..then the reaction would be instant...

Well its 2006 and lots have changed since the stone age,why dont you propose to him? It really takes you by surprise.My gf did that to me a while back and I almost cried...
