I had vincristine as part of CHOP.
A side effect I had was peripheral neuropathy. I didn't mind it that much because it sure beats cancer.

Vincristine was THE drug that saved my son when he had Lukemia as a child.

One of the things I find most interesting about it....it was only discovered in the 1970s by a German Ethno Botnist who was exploring Surinam, hanging with the native shamans....it was originally derived from a genius of the Rosy Periwinkle which from what I understand came originally from Ethiopia. It's possible that it is now made artifically.

In my son's case the worst part of the drug was the taste. It's very very bitter. We had to give it to him in puddings, jellos, etc.

The reason they use it from what I understand is that it is the most effective drug to use against Auto Immune System and soft tissue cancers.
