Time is too short today, and indeed I don't feel the time is right, but I am close.
How close, indeed is an open question, as it could be hours, days or just a few months away, but I feel as if I'm a dead man walking.
The writing is on the wall, though I typed it in cyberspace in a world that doesn't effing care anymore.
I was good for something once, and now am left bleeding in an uncaring world, but hey, who cares?
Yes I could pick myself up, but I don't see the point.
Where do I go from here and how can I help myself from myself?

I have felt suicidal before, most have. I am always glad that I have that little bit of sanity in me at those times to "save myself, from myself" When it passes.
I agree it this place sux pretty bad sometimes. I think talking to people, like you are now is a good start. Psych drugs scare me. I haven't had much luck with them, but I have heard of others who better from them. I think we need to feel it, cry, scream and get it out or it just comes back. I want you to know it isn't a totally uncaring world and I care, because I feel that way more often than not. I write and that helps too. Obviously, I was at this question because I too get fixated. Please try to live. Find something worth living for. I try to look at everything around me and find something good about it... I have to try and limit my time of watching world news or sad movies & put in more happiness. I wish I could help more.... I just said what's in my heart. ((HUGS))

Very few people, if any, care if you kill yourself. You have to want to live - find some reason(s) that make you get up in the morning and not feel suicidal. Think about how hard life is for many other people and they still want to live, they want to try to make things better or at least survive. When you get right down to it, people are like stars, they are all different and bright and special. No wait, scratch that - there are a lot of effing stars. Humans won't go extinct if you off yourself - good luck.

I went through a similar thing to you; it's important to realise that you are probably deeply depressed at present, but even so, you may still remember times when life was good. Well, it can be again, and soon: but you need treatment, which is readily available; all you have to do is reach out for it. See suicidal thoughts, and depression treatments, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris in sections 5, and 2, after booking a taxi, or calling an ambulance, or use public transport, to take you to the nearest ER, or mental health facility, or call your local emergency number. 911 (USA), 000 (Australia), or 999 (Great Britain); see the phone book elsewhere. Don't drive, yourself: you may well be a danger to others on the roads, in your current mental state. Too many people are found, and revived, but have suffered permanent mental damage, and live the rest of their lives in a semi vegetative state: their family, and friends feel guilty, and responsible, for not noticing the signs, and doing something about it. It's a very nasty thing for them to have to go through, too, even though I appreciate that life is certainly no bed of roses for you, at present, so please seek help, right now: call for assistance, or use the hotlines provided.

hey there i've also been through this.
I think you should just go and try to read a good book, about accounts on depression. It makes you feel okay. Prozac Nation by Elizabeth Wurtzel or The Bell Jar by Sylvia Plath. But I guess maybe you've read those then you should try and go and take a walk outside, alone presumably and just watch people.

There's also another thing you can do is to visit this google group called Alt. Suicide Methods. It really helps. But just don't try those methods. As quoted from Nietzsche "It is always consoling to think of suicide: in that way one gets through many a bad night."

don't attempt suicide though

Oh yeah the link

You will know when the time is right. Most people will tell you there is never a right time. I guess they are right.
I sincerely hope that this passes or you find the courage to tell someone that can help you.
You're right about the uncaring world, but we all have to live in it. Where do you go from here? only you can decide that, I hope you make the right choice. Two words that you can keep saying to yourself are "hang on" You may be glad that you did.

You write beautifully about such a sad subject. You're an artist and are sensitive to the world around you. Channel your negative feelings into your art. What comes out will not only be extremely powerful but could help someone who is where you are right now. You have a place here.

You need to go outside. Don't be alone for too long. Enjoy the sun and take a walk. Make an appointment to see a counselor a week from now. Talk to someone about anything except for suicide. Try this for a week, if you still feel the same way, talk to the counselor. If you can't get to someone, call 1-800-SUICIDE (1-800-784-2433) or1-800-273-TALK (1-800-273-8255 right now.

well i HAVE felt suicidal.. and ya know what i did?
Absolutely nothing.. now this was a huge mistake to not get help because years later, like right now, i am still struggling with the same urges and tendancies. Life is HARD, no doubt about it, and i often wonder what the point is. Then i slap myself in the face and tell myself that it'll be worth it in the end.

It is hard to believe, but just focus your energy on all those GOOD things in life. It isn't a cure but it'll help.
You need to get professional help, easier said than done though i know because i am yet to get help.
But see where that's left me.. miserable and unhappy. don't let that be you.

my old friend use be depressed also. What he did was went to a place called ccis which is a child crisis center. Of course if your older than 18 you would have to go to an adult one. What it is is a place where you live for up to 2 weeks and they help you . they talk to you about your problems , you have group therapy, and you are most likely put on medicne. But what he like most about it was that you were with others who felt the same as you did so you didint feel like you were the only one.

Hello Mike! I'm sure somebody out there cares about you. Don't hesitate to go to a psychiatrist if you feel suicidal. Sometimes it is not the world around you there is to blame if you feel down but an imbalance on hormones or even endorphins. MDs can prescribe you with an upper. Take care. God loves you!
