Apart from the light show & the view from the hill on Hong Kong Island what is there to do in Hong Kong? What is the best way to get to and from the new international airport & how long is the trip. What are the main tourist attractions and the less famous places which the average traveller would not know about?

The best way to and from the airport would be to use the train and then a taxi or bus to reach your destination. The trip probably ranges from between 15-30min depending on what stop.

Main tourist attractions probably would be Disneyland, Ocean Park, the big Buddha, Mongkok, Nathan Rd., and taking a 1 day tour is really good to and it's not too expensive.

Less famous places would be the territories such as Kowloon. There is amazing food, transportation, and shopping. And things wouldn't be as expensive as on Hong Kong Island. Some good malls are Ma On Shan and Shatin. Ma On Shan is on the smaller size while Shatin is a bigger, higher end mall. If you walk up a hill close by Shatin, there is a beautiful temple that probably isn't known by most travelers.

The trains and buses make going place to place really easy so transportation isn't really a problem.

Other things to do for tourist attraction is the budda in Lantau Island, Ocean Park, Disney land if you want, also go to Ladies Market in Mongkok, Nathan Road , lots to see there, go to Shopping mall such as Pacific Place in Admirty, Times Square in Causeway Bay, and Langtham Mall in Mongkok.

The less famous place would be Yuen Long area, exploring the area using the KCR or even the light rail, lots of food restaurents to eat, go to Temple St Market in Yau Ma Tei at night, the main thing is to explore.

Fromt eh airport, you can take the MTR or take the bus. Lots of buses to take.
