I hyperextended my elbow doing taekwondo 2 weeks ago. What is the general healing time to be able to fully extend the arm again without pain?

Could be life! You have extended the joint beyond what it was designed to do, so the tendons, muscles have been stretched. Depending on what treatments you have been given, drugs, PT, brace, support bandage and how you are coping with everyday life, will depend on the recovery time. However, injuries by nature are usually life long complaints, insofar as it might heal now but later on in life...... Good Luck

I hyper next ended my elbow over two and a half months ago and i still can't straighten or bend my arm all the way. I think if you have full range of motion about a week or so after the injury I think u will be fine but if not I would see a doc. You possibly tore a ligament (that's what I did) and the sooner u get it looked at the better. I wish I'd got mine looked at sooner, it will help it heal faster. so if u think u tore something u should get it looked at but if it starts doing fine on its on my way it's prob not a big deal
