Last week was Thanksgiving and many of us felt very pious for one day and donated to the poor or helped feed them.
5 days later, that belly is pretty hungry again. Most soup kitchens and food pantries are in the worst shape they've been in years. Increased demand, decreased donations.
Every day I try to feed some hungry people. A lot of times its just rice and kidney beans in a paper coffee cup. I make up 24 servings about 6 oz each. Sometimes its soup. Sometimes rice and beans. I own a small cafe. People come in and ask. They know I make something up for them after lunch.
Some customers have a very positive response. Most freak out that a "dirty bum" is given free food. They are human beings. I give them food and water six days a week.
If you were in a cafe and saw someone hand out a free to these people, many minorities and women, how would you react?

I would say thanks.
Your doing the work of Christ. Whether or not you believe in him he still works through you.

I'd offer to take them to McDonald's so that they could eat a full meal (granted, its not fine dining, but I figure they'd be greatful for the food).
To be honest, I've never gotten the opportunity to help someone homeless. I live in a kinda small town, so there aren't any here, that I know of. Not to mention I work full time, and I know its just an excuse, but I have bills, too. And I don't exactly live in the lap of luxury myself.

Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.
(Matthew 4:4)
Those you give free food can't truly live unless you teach them Christianity as well.
Ane when they come to know God, you have to tell them to spread the gospel...

I'd give you a donation! Just like I give food, blankets, clothes, (but not money!) to those guys begging on the street corners.

You are doing a good work, God bless you.

Where's your cafe?

It's hard to say... where I know that these people are down on their luck and need any help they can get, it's the ones that don't try to do anything to better themselves that get to me. Those are the ones that I would choose not to help, not because they aren't doing well, but because they chose not to accept my help beyond being fed.

I admire you for your generosity. You will be blessed tenfold for your kindness and compassion. If I were there, I'd also offer to help distribute food to them.

Keep up the good work. And Peace be with you.

I would confront you and ask why they are getting stuff free, and If you told me that was the reason I would have no issue with it. Then I would confront the people your being generous to and Help them along.

You are a blessing to those people. Please continue. It wouldn't bother me a bit if I was in your cafe and you handed out free food. Blessings.

This act of yours should not be a permanent fixture. You must guide them how to earn their bread and butter own their own.
