I would be very friendly and kind.
I find it highly amusing that you would ask this, since you have advocated having us sterilized as well as suggested that our children should be taken from us. You have said that our lives are wasted lives. You have never done anything but attack us, call us names, and ridicule us. You have never been kind or tolerant to any one of us.
You are more intolerant and prejudiced than all of the atheists put together.
I would fear for my life if I ever met you.
I'd be afraid that you would do much more than merely threaten to shoot me.
99% of your "questions" are rants and raves about Christians.
Would you?
Would you be polite in real life, or would you be as mean, angry, and rude as you are here?
You have told me before that there will never be anything but war between us.
That makes me think YOU are the one who would rant, rave, and bring out a gun if you met me on the street.

No ranting or raving from me. Just to say that they are different in so much as they need to have a major change in their religious belief. IF they wanted debate, I would be for that as well but from my past experience's on this site its not the Christians that are the intolerant ones. The angry ones the overtly callous and rude. We answer truthfully alot of the questions asked by atheists and then are ridiculed for answering them. So I have to say that irregardless of where it takes place I don't think that Christians are the hostile party.

WOW- I do not hate atheists at all- and as a matter of fact, I would pray that here on yahoo, or in person that the atheist would see that I truly love them. I do not think that I rant and rave- I just share my faith, and those who chose to believe fine, and those who chose not too, that is their choice- however if an atheist met me in real life, I would hope that they would treat me with respect too-

Of course I would be polite to atheists, whether they post on this forum or not.
I do not threaten to shoot anybody, and I do not rant or rave as long as I am on my medications :-)

Yes and I would be very polite and respectful. However, I'd wonder how anyone can disbelieve something that is impossible to know.
I'd politely argue against a materialistic/scientific position that refuses to accept anything that cannot be proven with certainty. It is sad that the indeterministic and unprovable is automatically discredited. The richest part of our lives is subjective. How can you disbelieve beauty, for example? (I understand that many scientific-minded people have tried to quantify that!).
By the way, I love science and math, but I think there's a lot more to life.

Actually I am a Christian missionary in the Philippines. I used to be an engineer in the aerospace and defense industry in the US. Yes, I was a Christian for part of that as well.
We are not called to be polite, but we as children of God are called to love others and that only after loving them first. It is to live a life like Jesus did on the earth.
I am neither holy or righteous outside of Jesus. I am just some guy that loves my Lord enough to give up my life to live more and more for him.
As for atheists, some of my friends call themselves atheists. One of my atheist friends gave me $100 when before I came because he admired my conviction to come. I still chat with him online on a regular basis.
I once tried to share about miracles I witnessed here and he didn't believe me, but he was respectful and listened.
As far as I am concerned, anyone who is a Christian will seek to obey God's law to love whatever the cost and that only in the name of Jesus. What I mean by that is that you are doing so out of reverence and respect for the Lord Jesus. And to live by the Word of God.
The Word of God is not meant to bash others, it is meant to testify to a God who loves them. It is meant to bring life and freedom and draw people into relationship with the Lord which is possible through the sacrifice of the Lord Jesus.
Anyone who is trying to force someone to believe in Jesus through fear and intimidation is most likely misguided. However, the Bible does talk about what will befall those who do not believe that Jesus is the Son of God.
Folks, it is all meant to be a message of a love that is acquired through faith that the words are true. It is a message of extreme grace from a loving creator who wants to simply have a relationship with us and save us from the systems of this world that are ruled by a supernatural evil.
This is not a quest for peace through tolerance or even trying to figure out who can give the most eloquent answer or even coming up with the most feasible hypothesis. It is a quest for the truth of all things. The answer to our very existence and to find that it is not by random chance. That there is a destiny we all are called into and that it is one that is certainly worth fighting for if we are willing to acknowledge that God really exists. It is then, and only then that all the answers to life's questions begin to make any sense.

LOL - no! I used to be an aetheist and I hated when people tried to force a lot of things on me without getting to know me. Basically, my focus is on trying to live my life as a Christian. I don't hide my faith and I'll share if I feel moved to do so or if someone asks me - but otherwise I try to treat people the way I want to be treated and to be consistent.
A lot of aetheists think that Christians are all hypocrites or hate them or are just plain stupid. I used to think that way. But now being on the other side, I know that is not true. No one could have convinced me otherwise though back then ...

None of these ignorant Christian fools would do anything even remotely harmful in person. They talk a lot of trash online because they are safe within the barriers of the internet, knowing they will never meet the people they are bad mouthing too. Trust me, they wouldn't say a WORD if they met up within an atheist in person. They'd be scared out of their mind. That is why I hate the internet; people think its okay to say whatever the hell they want because they feel tough only due to the fact that its not in person. It's funny how that changes when you meet up with someone one on one in person.
