Is it the happy contented 360 owner who loves playing all the excellent games available, chatting and playing with his mates on line and doing what a games machine owner should be doing PLAYING GAMES...?

Or is it the frustrated PS3 owner who knows their machine is capable of so much more but wish's he had bought a 360 instead while the PS3 actually catches up...?

Let me think about about this one...! Shall i play gears of war on line with 3 buddies, or shall i play crash bandicoot and watch a blue ray movie.....? Hard choice...!lol

Superdork...! Surely a smart fanboy would pay £40 a year to play on line with millions of other gamers, where as a dumb fanboy would pay £5 extra for the same game to play on line with a few from japan...!

R'n'D....the votes are in....?

Microsoft blew it.....? The largest online gaming community ever....blew it...? What would be considered a success then...?PS3, 3 online players in japan and 2 in australia...!

360's being returned at 2500 a day...? more than PS3 has sold in total....!

I play GAMES, own both systems and have never had a problem with either. However one gets used everyday, one gets turned on every couple of months...!

A fanboy would be someone who spends 50 bucks a year just to play against other people, while a smart fanboy plays on PSN for free.

A fanboy is someone who buys a 360 even though it has a 1/3 chance of getting the ring of death, while a smart fanboy buys a PS3 that only has a .02% failure rate.

A fanboy is someone who plays Gears of War and Halo 3 because that's all the 360 has and nothing more, while a smart fanboy can play Warhawk, Motorstorm, Uncharted, Ratchet & Clank. In the future, the smart fanboy can play Metal Gear Online, Metal Gear Solid 4, Final Fantasy XIII, Haze, Killzone 2, etc.

A fanboy buys GTA IV for the 360 knowing he'll have to get up and change the disks, while a smart fanboy gets the PS3 version so he can play the game without having to get up to change the disk.

A fanboy buys Unreal Tournament 3 for the 360 knowing it's going to have less content than the PS3 version. A smart fanboy buys the PS3 version knowing that it has more content than the 360 version and at the same price.

A fanboy goes to XBL and download stuff that costs money because MS sets the price, while a smart fanboy goes to PSN and gets to download stuff determined by the developer. If the developer wants to make it free, it's free. With XBL, even if developers want to offer it free, they can't unless MS agrees.

A fanboy can only watch DVD movies on his 360, while a smart fanboy can watch Blu-ray movies on his PS3 and HD TV. If the fanboy wants to watch HD-DVD movies, he'll have to shell out another 180 bucks.

A fanboy trips over his internet wires because the 360 doesn't have Wi-Fi. A smart fanboy wouldn't trip over his ethernet cables because his PS3 has Wi-Fi. If he has the 20 gb then he'll be just the same as the fanboy. Poor guy. If the fanboy gets tired of tripping, he'll have to shell out another 100 bucks for the Wi-Fi adapter.

I think that Superdork and R"n"D gave you a good example of what a fanboy is and I agree with them both.

First, a PS3 owner never regrets that he bought a PS3. I would never want a Xbox 360. The only games Microsoft has is Halo 3, Gears of War, and Bioshock. Sony hasn't even released the games that are it's biggest exclusives. In year 2006-2007 almost all of the PS3's exclusive games were brand new franchises: Lair, Heavenly Sword, Motorstorm, Resistance Fall of Man, Folklore. All of those games were brand new franchises, and Sony hasn't even released games like God of War 3, Killzone 2, Haze, Gran Turismo 5, Tekken 6, The Getaway 3, Metal Gear Online, Metal Gear Solid 4, and Jak and Daxter: The Lost Frontier yet and those are the games that will sell the PS3 like mad.

And I heard you make a comment that the only reason why your PS3 hasn't died is because yours only gets turned on every few days... well that's funny because there are people that leave their PS3's on for days at a time for the Folding@Home program and those PS3's are still running strong. You know that the PS3 is a reliable console and the Xbox 360 is a piece of crap.

The only thing Microsoft is doing is trying to keep up with Sony. When they knew that the PS3 had built in Blu-Ray, they made a HD-DVD attachment for the Xbox 360. When they knew that the PS3 had HDMI slots and the Xbox 360 didn't, they released the Xbox 360 Elite that had the HDMI slots, Microsoft is a joke.

When the games for 2008 comes for the PS3, your Xbox 360 and that overrated game Halo 3 will be collecting dust in a corner somewhere and that Xbox 360 will only be a memory.

Even though you say that you own a PS3, I don't believe you because no PS3 owner would be saying what you are saying about the PS3 when so many games have come out for the PS3 and the list of big exclusives that are coming soon.

Question should be Whta's the difference between a fanboy and a gamer? Fanboys blindly buy a system based on perceived popularity. Fanboys will defend their purchase no matter how ridiculous their arguments sound.

A gamer buys a system based on the gaming performance, and best gaming experience. They defend the gaming system based on technology, games and performance.

In this argument 360 vs ps3 the fanboy ignores and refuses to accept the fact the almighty microsoft has released a highly flawed and poorly engineered console that instead of providing a great gaming experience, it provides frustration and destroys the games themselves. 2500 360s get sent back to microsoft a day for repairs from the U.K. alone. Some European Microsoft corporate offices don't even bother fixing the 360s and just replace them.

Even though the technology in the 360 wasn't even cutting edge in 2005, Gamers bought the 360 knowing this in 2005 to get the new experience also knowing they would also buy the ps3 when it game out a year later. Well most gamers have had a good year to compare the 2 systems and the votes are in. Microsoft blew it.

Super dork = gamer
you my friend = well you know.

Superdork and RnD, great answers mate, I was going to write something like that, but I just cannot be bothered to argue with this question, because whoever buys the 360, ive notice always trys to jusitify their purchase by bashing the PS3.

I was a 360 fan, look back at my answers and I was bashing the PS3 back then, but until both my 360's failed, I know what my future console will be. And thats the PS3.

Xbox 360 has played its mass effect, bioshock, halo, project gotham racing card and still it lacks behind, when with those games the 360 should have sold at least 20 million consoles but no theyve only sold 15 million in two years.

yet the ps3 still has got its aces up its sleeve and we all know that 2008 will increase its market share.

For example look at it this way, ps2 sold 120 million right. Out of those 120 million lets say 30 million people have picked up a 360 or Wii. BUT what about the rest of the PS2 owners who wait for better games and price to buy their PS3. 120 - 30 million people = 90 million people left. Once the games start rolling out out of them 90 million poeple, I bet you any money at least 60 million of them will pick up a ps3.

Anyways all ps3 owners, enjoy what you got and let the 360 people justify their purchase as they wonder why havent they got wi-fi, recharger, HD-DVD drive and free online.

you're a fanboy

I have a PS3, I bought a 360 as well....the 360 went back to the store after 9 days. It was an awful piece of hardware. Not to mention Halo 3 is just like the Halo 1 I played 6 years ago

lol. youre confused. the smart fanboy wont pay £40(?) to play online,he'll play, on a great machine, for free. i consider myself a gamer, as i do like halo 2, but i wont get the xbox 360, just to have it "ring'ed" on me, i, my self, will wait till the ps3 goes down a bit in price and has a huge selection of quality games. Whats flawed in ps3?? nothing, xbox?? a lot of things.

When it comes to video games, Fan Boys are people with blind devotion to one system, who flame others for saying anything negative about their beloved system while they trash other systems and their users.

I am no fan boy. I buy all the systems and enjoy what each has to offer.

I love the 360, so many great games. The Wii is fun as well. As soon as the PS3 has some good games that are longer than 10 hours in length, I am sure I will enjoy it as well.

A fanboy?
Someone who's so insecure that they have to post questions about their beloved 3fixme in the Playstation section.

The PS3 online service does have the benefit of not meeting you online. i'd pay for that!
