People who do it for money are generally are fakers.
I do not personally know of anyone possessed, but my friend psychiatrist claims that there are sick people who do beleive it and act accordingly. Mind does play tricks.

According to my expeiences it's the malfunctioning of the brain when your nerves or senses in the nerves suddenly undergo some unbearable shock.

I had heard people saying that science had proved that you can't mesmerise a person with strong will power.

Similarly these possesional stages will never affect a person with strong will power and those who does not easily gets frightened by dark, daemonic dreams etc.,.

No...

"Possession" is simply another word for...

"Mental Illness..."

In the old times, when a person's brain didn't work right (schizophrenia) it gave people the impression that something was "possessing" them...because they didn't have the advance medical knowledge we have about the brain now days...

Unfortunately...those legends still proliferate as "spooky supernatural" stories...

But now days...we know for a fact now that there are no "gods," or demons, or spirits, or ghosts, etc etc etc...

Because we're highly educated modern people who know better now...

(Although it is "fun" fiction...no doubt about that)

Some people are just insane.

You've just got to come to terms with the fact that a lot of the people who need anti-psychotic medications aren't on them.
