My mum is old and frail and I don't think she'll be around much longer. I love her dearly but we've never really been close.
There's so many things I want to know about her but don't know where to start.
What's the most important thing you wish you'd asked your mum?

Family history; heritage. (Well for me it's a whole lot else, too) but I would have liked to know more about the oldest members of the family she knew of, even if it was just through her own research. More than just "we have German and Irish in us somewhere".

WHERE did she hide the manual for raising ME : now that I have my own , I could sure use it.
The BEST thing you could ask her is ?
To record for you a bit of her memorie's she has left in her mind , about carrying you in her, and what are her fondest memorie's of you as a child. May you be wrong ; may she last longer for you.

I not only wished - I did ask:

Why were us kids so badly treated by dad and WHY DID YOU stand by and let it happen?
Can't say she gave me a very good answer - mostly denied everything - but at least I let her know before she slipped away to Heaven what a crumby pair of parents I now KNOW they were! IT FELT GOOD TO CONFRONT HER FINALLY!

How to deal with my younger brother and, in particular, my younger sister. Since she has been gone it has just gone from bad to worse and I wish she could tell me what to do. There is 15 years gap between myself and my bro and sis and it is hard to try to help them.
