Without seeing a doctor, the best thing you can do immediately is to put 2.5% benzoyl peroxide on it. Although it is a temptation to pop it, don't as this will result is scars which will be with you all through life.

You can obtain benzoyl peroxide which has cosmetic coloring in it, which will help to disguise it. There is a bit of a trick to applying it so as to not look like a brown spot over a zit, but its easy to do.

If you go to a doctor, a regular dose of Doxycycline once a day will do wonders for knocking them out.

You also have the option of accutane, but it is much more expensive and has some side effects.

As others mentioned, wash your face daily, once every two or three days, use an exfoliant such as St, Ives See at:http://www.ciao.co.uk/Reviews/St_Ives_Ap...

you can find it at Walmart in the skin care area and is about $2.00 a tube or so.

Using isopropal alcohol will also help. You can use it two or three times a day if your face is oily, but it will dry your skin.

Probably the best long term solution is going to the doctor for doxycycline. . It works wonders.

Hope this helps!

I'm sure you've heard it, but Proactiv. It works wonders. Now there is a generic called Acne Free that you can get in Walmart and most drug stores.

Also look at what is causing your acne. Could it be diet? Stress? Stuff touching your skin?

Wash your face twice a day, but find a good makeup remover too. Never go to bed with makeup on. Switch to an oil free makeup too. Wash your pillow cases at least once a week, or more. Drink plenty of water (or water based fluids like lemonaid, kool aid or juices).

Topical creams can help, but wont solve the real problem if you dont' change your habits too. Good Luck.

Hi!

I actually found a facial oil that slows down your skins oil production, clears up pimples/ acne and dissolves black heads within 4-8 weeks I put all the info on my blog as it's quite detailed:

http://beautymoi.blogspot (.com) => remove the parentheses

I also put a full article of how to extract blackheads and steam your skin.

Black heads are basically a hardened oil mixture that was secreted from your pores and oxidized (which makes the outside part black) and since water and oil don't mix, no water based product can "clean" your blackheads away, just try say putting certain foundations or makeups on the mirror and if you wipe it with water it smudges all over but put a little baby oil and wipe and tada! it comes off super clean AND dissolves it. So this is basically how this oil works. It's composition is such that the skin accepts it as a healing oil and it does not clog your skin but rather protects it while the plant extracts inside go down into the pores (this absorption is made possible by applying the toner to the skin before applying the oil and then applying the dabs of oil over your moistened face), it then penetrates into the pores.

I put where to the name of the oil and prices in stores versus on eBay as well as how to apply it on my blog:

Also you may want to Google Drying Lotion by Mario Badescu.

Take care and good luck!

A lot of it may do with what you are eating. I had horrible acne up until I was 31, from the time I was 16. I went to eating all vegetables, nuts, and some fruits. I lost 80 lbs and my face went clear in 3 weeks. I haven't eaten anything besides fruits nuts and veggies for seven years now.

Stop all the meat, dairy, refined foods like sugar, flour, hydrogenated oils........

Go to the bookstore, and get yourself a book called "eating for your bloodtype".

Here is another good book:

Pro-active, Murad or Acne free are the best topical systems you can get, but they'll never stop acne if it comes from within.

PM if any questions.

Alright well, If you do try proactiv and it doesnt work its not just because its bad product but maby because it just doesnt fit your skin, Try buying a facewash that does not leave oil, I noticed that when you have more oil on your face u get clogged more.. Like alot of people. BUT. It may be because of stress. But there is not much you can do to completely banish acne because it is natural, I say controlled would be your best choice. Just use a wash regularly, And try to avoid stress. Just let it pass
Hope it helps :)

thats a good site for a cheap way to get rid of pimples.

If you have continuous acne, its mostly hereditary.... but that doesnt mean you have to let it control your life.
Some foods make you break out more than others such as chips and candy.
some tips i can give you is to drink alot of water because water does wonders for your skin. Try not to stress, try not to come across stressful situations, and try to prevent stressful situations. Wash your pillowcase at least every week. sometimes your doctor can prescribe antibiotics if they are very problematic.

Allegedly Vitamin E works. Go ask your chemist for advice maybe they have supplements available.
A deep face (skin) cleanser may also help and try to keep face dry, not too dry as that leads to otehr problems but if you have oily skin then try to keep it dry and clean.

Benzaclin is a good acne medicine to use. but for more drastic matters, go to a dermatologist.
