I need to know how accurate the label is in describing the actual amount of the drug in a dose. Are there tolerance levels such as 5%?

its unlikely there would be a tolerance as pharmaceutical formulas are precise.

Depends on the drug. As far as over teh counter medications go, they should be fairly accurate. They are closely monitored by the FDA and have to meet that standard.

Other things such as vitamins and such don't have to obey any standard, so they CAN be less accurate.

The amount of tolerance permitted depends on the distance between the therapeutic window level and the toxicity level of the drug.

drug levels are closely monitored and are accurate to something like 0.002% which is pretty tight.
