Well, it is recommended that all young women have this before they become sexually active.

It is known that there is a high correlation between HPV (human Pappaloma virus, which causes genital warts) and cervical cancer.

It is much easier to prevent cervical cancer than to treat it. .

Absolutely. I was diagnosed with HPV a few years ago. It freaked me out when I had an abnormal pap. About 10 of my friends went to get tested to and 6 of them had it as well. It is too late for us to get a vaccine, but you could prevent yourself from having alot of issues down the road.

I get a pap twice a year now and have had 2 colposcopies. Lets just say they are not at all pleasant. Why put yourself through that when you can prevent by taking a couple of shots?
