You're lucky to feel so alive and know what you want.
Just keep going. Make opportunities for yourself to meet more people. Through friends is usually a good connection.

You are trying to force something. First of all relax. Your desire to be in a relationship will do nothing but turn a girl who may have been a great candidate off. She will see you as moving too fast and that is never good. She will feel pressured. And that will only sabotage any chance at a relationship you could have.
Reaize that love isn't forced. It just happens naturally. Know that when you find someone worth it, it will happen.
But go out and meet people. Try a dating site to meet new prospects. Let things happen naturally. Otherwise it is a false love that will only hurt you and her in the end.

There isn't any way to divert your attention when the heart and brain are working together on something like this. You have a bad case of loneliness. Unfortunately, the holidays tend to bring that out in people when they are by themselves and they see their couple friends. Maybe try to hang out more with your single friends during times when you're feeling this way. By all means, don't avoid your other friends though. Please don't latch on to anyone just because they are giving you extra attention though, because what might be taking your loneliness away right now may bring pure torture to you later and put you into a situation where you really don't want to be in.

It sounds like you enjoy feeling this way. If you really want to stop "torturing" yourself with longing, then I suggest you divert your attention to the memories of your last love. Ask yourself why it ended - ask yourself what you did and what she/he did to end the relationship. This may be the cold shower to your hot flashes. Then again, I myself enjoy wallowing in my own lovesick feelings....'tis the season!

mate, it'll happen when you least expect it. you cant simply demand to find somebody to share your life with, it doesnt work like that. if you are single at christmas then concentrate on making your friends and family feel special instead, and they in turn will make you feel loved and wanted.

You can't MAKE yourself fall in love
Go and do something else until it happens...
Get a job in a dress shop, that might take your mind off love for a while...

The cure is to not want it.....seriously, you sound desperate....and desperate people should not be in relationships.
