he hasnt saw the girls in almost 4 years..and called today out of the blue saying he has hte right to come and see them and hes coming to get them for the weekend.....can he really do this and if i ask him to just sign his rights over...does he have to sign them over to someone else or can he just sign them over and be done ...i dont want his money i just want him gone...he hasnt saw the girls or even called to ask about them in years

no he cant do it you need to call a lawyer and set up some kind of arrangement he cant just out of the blue do that you are the sole guardian and you have the right to say no

I agree with Melinda he does not have the right to just call out blue. Besides do you know what he has been doing for the last 4 yrs. Call the best and cheapest lawyer you can get a hold of to help you. The link below will help you to find a good family lawyer.

are yall divorced and if so what was the agreement that yall made and if he does not pay the support u can take him to court to get the money that he suppose to give to ur girls.....just get a lawyer to sign the rights over to u and do not let this guy take ur girls becuz this might the last time u see ur girlz and there been cases like these ....u can get the court to give u ristriction order against that guy and it will make sure he will be gone but if he forces u to give the girls to him than call the cops immediately ok

personally i would not be home this weekend, and then contact a lawyer and find out for sure what can and can not be done in your state, most lawyer's will see you for free first time, at least to give you and idea what your rights are and what you can do to protect your kids.
i would not trust him after 4 yrs to take my kids, whats the chances he could just up and be gone, as you said he just showed up out of the blue? this is strange to say the least.
protect them and yourself.
be sure and contact schools and state who can pick up your kids till this is all taken care of

He's their dad, he has rights. You need to file for divorce and put in there you want all legal rights to full custody. If he fails to show up for court or doesn't read the paper work, then you win and you will have the say so as to whether he can come visit or not. But until then, there is nothing you can do.

He can come to your house to see them if you want him to but he cannot take them. That's wrong you should make him pay.He can sign away his parental rights just by signing a paper saying that he has . It doesn't have to be to anyone. But do it legal that's the only way. Good Luck!!

umm my brother is going threw this..he can call about them but he can not take them until u have gone to court and he has visitation rights...now if u leave them somewhere and he goes to get them u can do nothing about it..thats the law here in indiana i have full custody of both of my boys and he in indiana if the dads dont want them they dont have to take them..now he has to sign his rights up he has to want to before someone else can adopt them
