DO NOT LIE.

Repeat ad naseum.

once is no big deal, so long as it was more than a couple of years ago and your nose is otherwise clean.

They will NOT do a polygraph and yes... lie. Lie if it was only once and just consider it a mistake. I had the same problem when I went in and even my recruiter told me to lie about it because of the clearance I needed.

WHATEVER YOU DO... do NOT give in and admit it. If they ask you a second time (by the same person)... be stern and tell him/her you already asked that question and the answer is still no. Don't believe anything they might say about being able to tell... they can't... even if your first time was yesterday!!! It takes more than a few times in a few days to be able to pick up THC in your system.

Besides... you'll need a college education in a science related field to begin with. I say science related because it will help you in aviator training classes IF you get acceted in the first place. More are turned down than get accepted.

this last year i had to take a military physical. when i was there i must have gotten asked that question atleast 5 times. well you can either lie through your teeth and they won't find a God dam* thing, unless you smoked within three weeks and then it would show on a drug test. or you can fess up to it and you'd get a waiver and have no problem enlisting. but if you're trying to be an officer, then you're going to have to tell them when you smoked it was over a year ago or else they won't let you sign until its been a year.

You will be asked and you should tell the truth, they will do a urine test to see if you are still smoking pot. If you are clean then no problem. If you come up hot you will be done forever.

If they ask you, you lie.... pure and simple. They aren't going to polygraph you and ask you if you ever smoked weed in your whole life.. That is the least of their concerns, as long as you pass the drug tests.

it's not a big deal.

Do you have a BA or a BS because that's a little more crucial than if you smoked pot once when you were 15.

Merely tell them you tried it but didn't like it at all.
Don't you think that Navy pilots smoke pot? I am certain that some of them do to calm their nerves.

they won't give you a polygraph, and they also realize that if they kicked out everyone who used drugs, there wouldn't be a military.

its up to you...the most honorable and right thing is always to tell the truth....but, i think they've relaxed the standards in the past few years
