If you have time read this:
http://www.theforbiddenknowledge.com/genesis/
It really got me thinking,
and it sometimes saddens me what man has
become but is it true.
It states, that god is satan and satan is god (no this isn't a satanism post). it says that satan switched places with god
and deceived the world, can satan really have deceived earth?
That god made us as slaves , and if you really get down to think about it.... Why did god not want us to eat from the tree of knowledge?
What kind of god, is one who dams us to hell,
and dams us onto this earth and takes us away from
paradise...
it's like saying, I want you to be stupid and i grant all your wished?
i'm so confused and my head hurts.
it saddens me what god, satan and the world
have become to believe and fight against.
I live for good,
and In good that's all that I know.
To help others, if I do not
know who I am or what I was brought here
for, atleast I can say I tried my best.
what are your opinions?

i've read some replies.
I'm not saying god doesn't exist or he is bad.
but who is GOD and SATAN,
are they not simply good,
when it comes down is it not only GOOD OR EVIL.
Why should we be damned for wanting to be free? Why would "god" not want us to be free. We were basically slaves, Pure and innocent yes but not free. and to begin with if god made earth I never understood Why did he put the tree there in the first place??
and what is worse, someone who gives us everything and spoils us, so long as we are not free or someone who wants us to eat and know the truth?
It's all very confusing,
maybe Im thinking too much.
I am good, that's all that I know.
God and satan are only names.

it's not that christians bug me,
but have you ever really thought about it?
I mean, not that he traded places,
but was the SERPENT really the bad guy?
No one is good nor bad..
and the bible was not made by GOD,
so you guys know. It was a collection
of books written by prophets hence,
the "john" "genesis", and why they have different names.
and i mean switch places by means of church, what if satan controls the church?
What if he has taught us the wrong doings?
making GOD or the SERPENT seem as the bad guy?

Also,
for those who give me bible readings
which I do have a bible and have read most of it.
What if the bible was written by EVIL itself,
and portrays the bad as really good?
If you ask me, I'm glad we ate from the tree.
Although it is "damned" and not be spoken of..
I can't think of how life would be without sorrow and without pain.
I rather know than to be blind and oblivious to others, why would GOD make us and not want us to be free?
and if he was the ALMIGHTY and the powerful that he is said out to be, then how did the devil get to MILLIONS of us, and why did god let all this occur if he could of just erased it all and started over?
does that mean god and satan are equals?
good and bad.. bad and good?
Why can't god just delete satan if he is
more powerful than him.
Why dam him to Hell?
Why would he give Satan the bad people?
doesn't he love us all equally?
It's like if he makes a list and says,
"Ok your bad or defective" and throws us
to hell, like picking out toys...

I sort of understand what you're saying, there are things which are confusing you and I can't clear them all up because their too many but let me see if I set you on the right road.
Satan is no where near as powerful as God.. God Made Satan and God gave Satan whatever power he has.
It hasn't happened yet but some time in the future Satan's represent will come to earth and deceive the whole world and he will do so by pretending to be a support of God and once he's got the world where he wants them he will then show his real colors.

It's really hard to answer this question.
But where in the world you get that info? How sure are you this is reliable? That's its worth the thinking and worrying? That it's true and not made by some people who just can't do anything in their life?
C'mon. I believe in the God who is good. If Adam and Eve ate the apple, it was their choice. They were given free will, the sign that God doesn't want to control us. The sign the we are not slaves in the first place because we can choose. We were given the right to decide, it was the form selfless love.
God don't damn people to hell. People damn themselves. We have the knowledge of right and wrong and if we choose the bad path, then that was our choice.
God also brought an alternative road to salvation- His human form in Jesus in the cross.
Why would God allow some switching in the first place? If He is really bad, why didn't just thrown us directly in a furnace and whipped us with lashes if that's all he wanted to see? Why didn't he just made us suffer directly? Why are we living in a beautiful world and been given wonderful feelings like love, joy in having families and friends. Why are the stars so beautiful and why are the seas so full of unparalled beauty.
I think that info is so bad.

Satan is God, and God is Satan? Well, that sounds like a satanic doctrine. Satan WANTS to be like the Most High God, so why wouldn't he create a doctrine like that? You say you are confused. With that kind of doctrine, you should be. Let me point out that the Bible states that Satan is the author of confusion. Let's take what you have to say and compare it to the Bible. If Satan is God, do you think that he would portray himself in the Bible the way he is being portrayed in it? Such as, a thief? A liar? A murderer? He would be saying good things about himself, wouldn't he? And if God was Satan....................geez. Now I'm confused. Thank you for giving me a headache.

Whoa, that just blew my mind. Well, satan is the prince of the earth, so he already deceives the world, its his domain. I think God didn't want us to eat from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil because he didn't want us to know pain, or suffering, or anything bad. I don't believe that it is God's intention to hurt his creation, but in the beginning, Adam and Eve disobeyed God by eating the fruit...so there are consequences now for not following him.
And even though God placed us on this earth, at least he gave us to opportunity to get back into paradise. If satan truly had switched places with God, I don't think we'd even get that chance.

You're going from the starting point that Satan was the bad guy to begin with.... The way the story goes, he was the slave, as were the rest of his people, and he organized a revolt against his master... God doesn't really start out as the good guy, nor Satan the bad guy (unless being arrogant enough to believe he deserved a life better than eternal servitude makes him one)

God wouldn't dam-n the world, we chose not to obey him by eating the apple. The apple let us know good an evil, we were to be inocent and pure. Now we are not. Eve disobeyed and dam-n the human race. God gave us freedom from sin -not slavery through Jesus who died a horrible death for us! We are free through his blood. Not slaves. God would never switch roles with Satan to deceive his children. Don't be fooled.

This is a tough one. I'm not sure exactly what you are asking.
As a parent, I know I can tell my kids over and over not to do something and give them all the advice, but at some point have to let go and let them make their choices in order to see what the consequences really are.
I think that was the point of the forbidden fruit. To establish we have the freedom to make choices but we have also been given a conscience to make the right decision.
We are slaves to God in the sense that we have faith and trust that he knows what is best for us but we also have the choice wether to submit or not.

What you have read is what the bible was plagiarized from. It is a history of ancient earth. Fascinating, isn't it? I find it really intriguing that our ancient beginnings were in Sumer ( Iraq ) and here we have come full circle and all eyes are on Iraq again. Nothing to be confused about. Give it time. Messed with me at first, too.
Ancient people attributed the mantle of god to these people because they were so advanced. Their technology made them seem like gods to these former hunter/gatherers. They had all the human attributes we do. And, weaknesses.

I agree with the whole switching places, I dont think that a true all knowing all powerful god would need all the praise that is required from the people. and that this all knwing all powerful person would know what is truly in the hears of "man" and there would be no way these so called believers would be able to get into their heaven, cuase they would knw. Honestly I think that most of the religions have it wrong.
EDIT: For all you christians, you do know that the bible was written by man, and that it was man who decided which books to be included in the bible you now read today. Read the lost books of the bible, and for those of you who say "god cant loose his books" remember it was man who ultimatly decided which books to include.

Hmm.
Slaves? No. We each have the gift of free will. Slaves don't have free will.
The rest of the stuff in your "question"? Just HOW could satan manage to "switch places" with God? The idea/concept itself is just plain silly.
