It has been my observation that men from the nerdy nerds to the hunkiest hunk have high self-esteem but the majority of women have extremely low self - esteem.

check your stereotypes, seriously you would be surprised. We only bottle up our emotions because that is the societal image that we are expected to conform to. i know many men who have low self esteem myself included. Men care just as much as looks, image, intelligence, etc just as women do. Trust me on that.

I have a husband, a Dad, 6 brothers and 2 brothers in law and guess what. They don't have higher self esteem. They just fake it.
Men are far more sensitive than women, I have very manly intelligent successful brothers as is my husband and the most innocent comment can crush any one of them.
Men fake it till they make it. It is all an act. Women that seem to have high self esteem have just figured out the trick.
It works, give it a shot!

I speak for myself. I'm no hunk nor a nerd. Just a regular average Joe. Sure, I get nervous at times. But don't we all? I really don't care how I look. I just go out there and be myself.
In my opinion, women, thinks about a lot of things.

women never feel good enough because if you look at all the advertising and models and everything, it's always about looking good, being thin, having your hair done and make up done all the time. have you ever noticed that those dove models.... even the plus sized ones DON'T look bad? It's because though the model is plus sized, she is proportionate and is fit for her body type.... a lot of plus sized women are not fit they're fat.... if you look at alot of tv shows like the king of queens or even cartoons like the simpsons.... there is a hot wife and a fat husband.... sucks

From birth women are raised to have low self esteem. They are told that they are only fulfilled if they have a man.

We mostly have higher self-esteem because we have lots of testosterone.

Hormones is one reason. Plus guys think that ALL wemon have to be sexy or hot, which puts pressure on us to be what they want us to be. Guys don't have to do much in the morning anyways What? brush there teeth and thats about it....we have much more to do(hair, teeth, make up....)
