"As I live," says the Lord GOD, "I have no pleasure in the death of the wicked, but that the wicked turn from his way and live. Turn, turn, from your evil ways! For why should you die, O house of Israel?"

Hexley: a literalist.
And you are quite right...
And the reason "why" is because of sin...and is all symbolic of spiritual truths.

How things have happened in our time !!!
A. Some would depart from the faith and go into devil worship-1 Tim 4:1.
B. People would mock about the last days and not believe-2 Pe 3:3; Jude 18.
C. People would become lovers of themselves-2 Tim 3:1,2. Remember the TV commercials—"I do it for me"?
D. People would be disobeying their parents-2 Tim 3:1,2.
E. People would be grateful for nothing-2 Tim 3:1,2.
F. Homosexuality would increase-Lk 17:28,30; ref Gen 19:5; Ro 1:24,26,27.
G.
People would be without self-control in sex-2 Tim 3:1,2,6; Rev 9:21, Lk 17:28,30; Jude 7. Is this not the great sex generation?
H. People would love pleasures more than God-2 Tim 3:1,2,4. This is true. Shall we go on a picnic, watch football, or sleep. Church?—we can go another time. American motto "In God we trust" has become a joke. Remember, these were all predicted centuries ago as part of the signs that we are at the time of the end.
I.People would be taking drugs-Rev 9:21. The Greek word for sorceries, in Rev 9:21, means pharmaceuticals or drugs. God’s Word is 100% right on every one. That’s 6 out of 6. How could you have any doubts at this point?
Note: Fifty years ago, many people seldom locked their doors at night. There was little or no profanity on television, radio, or in the movies. One of the biggest problems in public school was gum chewing. Those days are long gone.
There is hope on the horizon, check out the future below !!!

IF YOU WANT THE RIDE OF YOUR LIFE AND A SECURE FUTURE DO THE FOLLOWING !!!
[Rom 5:8] But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.
[1John 1:8] If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.
[1John 1:9] If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
[Rom 10:9] That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.
[Rom 10:10] For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
[Mat 10:32] Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

God is not happy in the death of the wicked because they are doing what the wanted to do although it is against God. The wicked may go to the evil spirit, because you will soon die.
It is God alone who no beginning and no ending. As living humanbeings we are bound to die and tht is the punishment given to Adam and Eve when they disobeyed the law of God.
Gen 2:16 And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:
Gen 2:17 But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Well, as for me personally, most likely because my genes dictate a less adequately formed heart than average that will likely eventually be my undoing when it can no longer pump blood throughout my body.
As for sons of man in general, mostly because data is lost and damaged with cell division over time.

Why?
Because one day I might be driving a silver Mercedes and suddenly a black Volvo comes along, and BOOM! There's a car crash, I get sent to hospital, and five minutes later, a doctor comes out of the operating theatre and tells my mum, "She's dead."
That's why I die. Even though it doesn't make much sense.

Everyone will die as long as there is born. The day we are born ,we are walking towards death. So what question is this? All men will die and there is nothing to do with God.How long will we live depend on individual karma.

turn = repent
if you're blind to sin, you're decieved and are being led astray, to your death.
if you aren't blind to sin, you're either a child of God, or you're soon to be one.
