I am trying to grow a shag... but my hair seems really "puffy" and kind of wavy. How do I get shiny, straight hair that moves... instead of this puffy hair I have?
Thanks!

try smooth shampoo by matrix. it's in an orange bottle. use the conditioner with it too, and the styling cream. it will get rid of the frizzies. once you dry it out, use a flat iron and some hair serum just don't run the flat iron through more than twice per section or the hair won't get as shiny. get a flat iron that is ceramic and gets to at least 400 degrees F

maybe put a serum on it. like john frieda's. they have that at walmart. also you can go to a salon once and see what they say. a salon visit can offer some advice and be well worth the money. try typing your question in one of the myspace groups about hair.

i have puffy hair too. lol. but then again i'm multi-racial. so i guess that's how its supposed to be puffy and afro like. lol. :O)

Use a "no frizz" product to help tame the bush. Do not blow dry at high heat and use the lowest setting for velocity. Keep the ends trimmed because split ends tend to make frizz.
