Im taking her to the vet this weekend but Im curious now.
Our friends found this dog a month ago-totally abandonded-hoping that someone would take her in(they have 2 dogs already)We went to see them Sat night, met her, fell in love & took her home & today I saw a sticth on her belly. Its a metal wire, 2 ends stick out and its attached to a blk/brwn scab thing. Its on her belly, low down, like maybe spayed? (hoping!)

What if she's microchipped? Do you think we'd have to surrender her? I dont want to.

She may have been spayed at a shelter, adopted, and then may have gotten lost from her new home,or even abandoned by her adopted family (some people will adopt dogs on a whim, and then decide they don't want them.) Or,she may have strayed from her home, and someone misses her desperately. When you take her to the vet,you should have them scan her for a chip.If she has one,her owners may be elated to get her back, safe and sound.Dogs can travel for miles from their homes.I know,I lost two dogs this past year,13 year old sisters.I had adds in every paper for miles, fliers up,called all the shelters and vets, but I never found them. So,someone could be searching desperately for that dog,but they haven't thought to look in your area.If you put an add in the paper, just put,"Found, recently spayed female dog, must describe to claim." That way,you won't get people saying she belongs to them when she doesn't. Also, ask at local shelters and vets if anyone has been looking for a dog with her description.I know I'd give anything to get my dogs back, and to think that someone might have them and not want to give them back because they seem to be abandoned drives me crazy.Whatever happens, good luck to you and the dog.

Yes, it sounds like your pup may have already been spayed. The metal wire sounds like a surgical staple that may have gotten a little out of shape. If it's located right above her vulva, it's a pretty sure bet she was spayed.

The puppy being spayed shows that she once belonged to a concerned owner. I know it's hard, but you should really run a "found" ad to see if anyone claims her. If she is microchipped, this puppy belonged to a VERY concerned owner, who, perhaps, paid quite a bit of money for her.

Just put yourself in the other persons shoes, if it was your puppy that was lost, wouldn't want it back desparately???

There are so many puppies out there who need good homes! If you can get her back to her owner PLEASE do, even though it is hard. You will be able to find another puppy you will love just as much.....promise! I believe you can email me through this site; if you find the puppy's owner and still want a puppy, I am a dog breeder. We breed small breeds and perhaps we can give you a new puppy to love, if we're in driving distance, OK???

classic metallic. Imo, the "selection" in cutting-edge metallic is extremely overstated as any "eclectic" impacts like Jazz and whatnot are purely superficially embedded interior the music. metallic is an inherently limited stylistic because it consistently comes back to that junjunjun riffage, and if it strays too some distance from that, it may not particularly be spoke of as metallic. Fore occasion, you may desire to argue that sunlight O))) is extra purely "distorted atmospheric" music, or some thing, particularly than being any form of metallic. metallic in no way truthfully had a extra distinctive band than Black Sabbath, the beginning up of all of it. They have been Blues Rock, difficult Rock, even some Jazz and human beings impression in there, and that all of them started that heavy riffage-based variety that became trouble-free as metallic. much extra importantly, the selection replace into fundamental to their music while cutting-edge bands use different genres as gimmicks because of the reality that the innovations at the instant are not from now on novel. Metallica sped it up and drained it of that is Blues, consistent with risk a extra Minimalist impression too. After that there have been very few locations to flow interior of metallic, so which you presently see the variety demise (alongside with music extra often than not, so i'm not purely picking on metallic, in spite of the incontrovertible fact that that's the subject count handy).

Have the vet check it out.
It is not a microchip.. those are usually between the shoulder blades, you can usually feel it, but it is very small. Don't ask anyone to scan her. It sounds like she does not need to go back to where she came from

What the? It doesn't sound like any type of dog stitch to me, especially as there is only one of them, wait and see what your vet says. Hope she isn't in any pain. Its definatley not a microchip, they are inserted under the skin at the base of the neck, they don't require stitches. If she is microchipped and her owners can be located you may have to give her up, depending if they even want her back.

Well if you are taking her to the vet don't ask them do check for a chip. When my dog was spayed the vet used desolving stitches. I hope you get to keep her, because she should not have been out there by her self.
