Please, exclude my messy room .. I'm a senior in HS, working hard to graduate in May, so my room isn't really my priority! :) Also, my camera is broken, so these are phone photos, so my apologies for that, too! >_<

This would be my Zoey, a dog that literally came to our doorstep 2 years ago, and stole our hearts.

This second one, she's next to my 8 pound Shih Tzu, so I thought that would give you a small clue of how big she is. Zoey weighs 42 pounds as of last week.

We've all been wondering what she could possibly be, so I though it wouldn't hurt to ask.

You can't see in the picture, but there's a streak of white on her chest are her back toes are also white! AND YES, her ears are always like that, one up, one down. :)

What do you think?

I'm sorry for the confusion.

Zoey is my black dog that I'm trying to figure out what breeds she has.

The Shih Tzu, is just in there to tell what the size difference is. I have papers for her, so just exclude her. :)

Thanks, everyone for your sweet remarks! I do believe that she could be a Heinz 57, but that would never stop me from lovin' her. :) Thanks, again.

Hi Lucy...I have to agree with a few that answered border collie....my guess would be a border collie mix too....maybe mixed with a lab. She is cute and I love the ear thing she has going on! I chuckled with the last photo..she is totally oblivious that one stands up and the other doesn't! What an expression!! BTW...Your shihtzu is cute too!

Yes...your room is messy....I remember when mine was that way as a kid....drove my step mom nuts!! Makes me feel a little better...my youngest son's room is so messy, I almost kill myself going in there...there is so much crap all over his floor..one of these days I am going to walk in there, trip and fall flat on my face! Anyway...keep up your hard work so you can graduate...go to college...get a degree that will make you some money...and hire a cleaning lady! ;)

First off...people have guess cocker spaniel..a cocker doesn't get that big. Springer spaniels are the largest of the spaniels and range from 35-60 lbs. The ears NEVER perk up on spaniels, the nose is a different shape..etc etc.

Your dog seems to have a face of a lab, the fur of a long haired retriever/collie (not the mini collies), the ears of a shepherd and the weight of perhaps a retriever or collie. My best guess would be that one of her parents were a mix. Pups USUALLY pick up the genes from the mother. Just like us!
So..I would say collie/lab/shepherd.

Its always so tough when you don't know where they come from, but if she stole your heart...then enjoy and have a great life together!

It looks like she is part border collie, but that's just a guess. She could be heinz 57, but the only way you could sort all the ingredients would be through some pretty expensive DNA testing. Whatever she is, she's a beauty!

OK, now that gave me chills! Because, except for the "up" ear, that looks just like MY mixed breed!

I'm not positive what mine is either, because she came from the county pound. I'm almost sure mine is at least half Border Collie, though.

So, yeah, my guess is that yours is a Border Collie mix, too!

To immediately i can not see why it is going to matter what shade pores and skin mom and pa are and if the youngster is blended or no longer. because of the fact we are each of a similar under the exterior. and that i do think of that oldsters and grandparents might desire to coach that to the infants and not the undesirable stuff because of the fact in the event that they save on coaching the undesirable stuff then how is it ever going to end. and that i say this because of the fact i'm white and my husband is Asian and we've a daughter jointly.

Your dog looks very much like my sister's dog. Her dog is half long haired German Shepherd and half Border Collie. Her dog also has one ear up and one down. Good luck. I hope you figure it out.
