i have gotten some tattoos covered up for sure!!
i actually got my first three tattoos covered up!
my first was my name in korean tattooed on my back, it was my first tattoo ever and i just wanted one so bad and my mom is from korea so i got that, i never really loved it. the tattoo artist was mediocre at best so i got it covered up with a black dragon. (horrible mistake)
i also got a tattoo of a psychadelic mushroom... dumb college mistake.
finally i found out that not all tattooers are talented and not all of them can do much of anything, some tattooers probably shouldn't be allowed to hold a gun but whatever, i found some really great artists and will never have a horrible tattoo again.
last year i got my whole back tattooed which effectively covered all of my previous tattoo mistakes, you can see a picture of it on my 360 profile. i LOVE it!! and there's no covering that up!

I had a heart with a rose on my left boob, got it at 18 and by 20 hated it (had stretched and just looked bad), so earlier this year I covered it with a flaming pentagram (solid coverage with reds and black)...now I've decided that I want a full chest piece, so after Christmas, my mentor (the artist I'm apprenticing under) is fading it with the Tat Gone Ink and we're going to start the chest piece in February. The new tattoo is going to be one of my designs and will cover from right below my collar bone, out to the tips of my shoulders, and in a V between my breasts.
So basically the original (heart & rose) will have been covered 3 times by the time I'm finished..

I cover up a four-leaf clover tattoo on my hand, between the thumb and forefinger, everyday. I work for the gov't and having a visible tattoo on my hand would disqualify me from my current post. I use my wife's foundation to cover it up. It works like a charm and costs nothing compared to laser removal.

I am in the process of getting one covered up. It was some writing in black, "FTP" (meant f*** the police) on my upper left arm. I got sick of seeing it and regretted getting it so I had to come up with something to get tattooed to cover it up. I got a dragon over it. So far I only have the outline, but I am very excited to see it finished. If you want to email me I think I have before and after pictures, and I'd be glad to show you them.

I covered a cross & skull w/ a banner with my name and my son's fathers name on it. We are no longer together. I got it covered w/ a custom drawn lotus flower. I like to think it represents the beauty of life rising from something ugly. (Lotus flowers are customary to growing in the muddy waters.)
