My father is trying to take his name off my sister loan can he even do that will they let him if he supposed to be locked in for for years.

That is why you NEVER co-sign for loan. It goes on YOUR credit so if they don't pay, it shows up on your credit report. If the bank won't lend them money, neither should you! And no, you can't get your name off the loan if you co-signed for it.

Only if the person who he cosigned for agrees and pays the total amout themselves.

dont think so....once they signed that supposed to be it...contact the lending institution for more info...
