Are you kidding me?!! He wont spend an extra .05 on cheese for your burger? 5 cents!!! OK you really need to get a new boyfriend. I would be ashamed if I ever did something like that. He should be willing and even want you to have the cheese if you want it and he should be more than willing to pay extra even if it's like a dollar. He sounds like he is just a little to much of a tight @ss. I think you should ask him why he will not pay 5 cents more for you to get cheese. I mean if he has no money that's one thing, but he should at lest have enough for you to get cheese. Dump this guy if he does not care enough about you to spend 5 cents more for you. That's just messed up.

mention it casually to one of his guy friends (or two, or three :D). Do this when he's not around otherwise it will seem passive agressive. Guys can be pretty cheap but if their friends find out they'll say "be a man! treat your lady." I mentioned something my boyfriend did to save a buck to a mutual friend and he started hounding my boyfriend in front of everyone! It was priceless. But I'm kinda cheap so I wasn't actually complaining...
edit: I just read the answer from a guy above mine and his is a classic example of most guys' reactions to other guys' cheap behavior!

Sometimes Burger King has coupon offers. Tell him to save them, maybe he won't have to buy you a burger after all!

Keep a few nickels in your pocket for just such occassions. When he orders, drop a nickel on the counter and say, "make mine with cheese."

Ask him if you are worth the extra 5 cents...he should cave...if not...leave...without cheese...
Or tell him Whataburger charges 50 cents or something like that...

Honey I don't know how old you are. But if your guy won't spend a nickel on cheese you need to divest and tell him to hit the road. You shouldn't have to ask it should be implied. Please do yourself a favor and dump this loser.

with a name like giggle bear i doubt either have their own money, ask his dad to ggive u extra money cuz thats where ur bf gets the money tto pay anyhow.
