Got my ps3 to recognize my laptop but when Im trying to see or listen to a file on my ps3, a message pops up "there are no titles". Some of them are mp3's and others jpegs and mpeg4, avi, etc..What is going on? Do I need to do something else.

i found the answer on an online forum. I needed to look for music under the music section, videos in the video section and so forth. I was trying to look for videos in the music section on my ps3 and thats why it wasnt working for me. Thanks anyways guys. I appreciate it.

nahh mate just make sur you are looking for music in the music icon and also look in ALL MUSIC
if that dosent work try to figure out wat file the ps3 looks at

Put all your music into your windows media player library.
Then [in the latest one] click the icon below the library tab which will open up some options one of which is Media Sharing. Then go through the wizard and make sure it shares to all systems.
Then search for media servers with your PS3. It should show up.
