While I drive a FORD Explorer I can honestly say that it is almost too much car even for me! So I can imagine how big the Expedition is. Like everyone else has said unless its for status symbol reasons and your teenager doesnt have to pay the gas bill go for it! However; there are better options such as the FORD Edge or Lincoln MKX.

You are kidding, right? Seriously...
Unless you're not worried about insurance premiums and just want a status symbol for them, I'd say no.
SUV's are on the upper end of the premium range for most of us, add in 4x, and you just may think twice. To keep my boy from driving my Excursion, I got him a pick-up, something we all can use, but he can consider his. That away the insurance is cheaper, and if there is an incident of some means, it's cheaper there too.

Both cars are bad ideas:
1. Needs too much Gas
2. FORD= Fix Or Repair Daily (Lincoln is made byFORD too)
3. They are American made, if you want a good quality car that will last; stick with something foriegn...preferably Toyota!
4. Must be an EXTREMLY loyal customer (all car services repaired by the dealership where the car was purchased) in order to get any help with a major repair.
5. Poor customer relations
Good luck if you go with any FORD company: (Lincoln, Mercury, Mazda, Jaguar, Land Rover, etc.)

Both of those cars are a danger to the occupants and to drivers in other, reasonably sized cars. No one should be allowed to drive those monsters on public roads, and a teenager in particular lacks the skill to guide such a huge truck safely.

A teenager should have an old car that can handle the bumps that will happen as he or she learns to drive alone. It should be a paid for car and not hold very many people....

They're both just awful. If Ford's going to go bankrupt, the Navi is certainly doing its part to drag 'em down.

Both are gas guzzlers. Hope you have a good revenue source to feed those ravenous bests.
