hi there,

Is there an argument like F5=39 where I could say F5 "DOES NOT EQUAL" 39? Is there some operator that can do that? How would I accomplish that without creating an AND() argument?

Thanks!

Mike

example:
If F5 is not equal to 35, it should say "failed" otherwise "pass":

=if( F5<>35,"Failed","Passed")

try it.

Excel includes a NOT function, so you could say
=IF(NOT(F5=39),"yes","no")

Just make a formula =f5<>39 and push enter and it will Show the True value if f5 is not equal to 39.........Hope this helps

F5<>39 (that is not one symbol, it is less than sign and greater than sign right beside each other)
