You should care about endangered species because if they are gone, they're totally gone. Why not try and keep them alive?

On the evolution thing: how things OUGHT to be is not necessarily how things ARE. Your rhetorical question has much more to do with determinism than anything related to evolution.

If evolution is survival of the fittest why should human morals or human thinking, have a say in our actions. Either evolution is godless power or force or it s not. We can use reason or thinking, but it s not a moral issue. If one wants to to argue as moral issue ( should we protects species or not) then moral thinking can t come from a godless evolutionary power. Where does this thinking (man is responsible ) come from? How can humans be responsible if they are just part of a on going godless power marching into eternity. Spiciest protection using evolution to me is a week argument.🌝

Planet earth is not for humans alone. All animals have the same right as humans to exist on earth. The recent extinctions are all due to human acitivities. We should protect endangered species, so that our grandchildren can see them.

Because extinction is forever. But also, many animals and plants depend on one another. If one is gone it would effect the entire food/relationship chain, which may lead into effecting our species in some ways.

Not required until unless we disturb the balance. If you think we have created an imbalance in the system then we must try to restore the balance. Or else system itself creates balance, which may or may not be good for us. Each and every thing is important and complimentary to each other.

We breath in O2, trees breath out O2. We breath out CO2, trees breath in CO2. Our survival is dependent upon trees and visa versa.

Well consider why most of animals are dying off. Evolution? No, my friend. Animals are hunted to extinction and killed off from loss of their habitats.

You shouldn't, as long as you believe it's OK for man to be the primary evolutionary force. Extinction by nature, the environment, etc., is natural. Extinction by humans hunting something for fun and profit is not.
