Legally u have to be 18, BUT if u can get ur grandma to convince ur dad to let her have u sooner, or if u have a mom then try to get her! GOOD LUCK!

I'm not sure about Florida...in Canada.....you can leave home at 16....if a parent kicks their child out under the age of 16 they can be charged with abandonment..but at 16 they are Free to do as they please.

Your best bet would be to...call the police dept. and ask...if you're 17 , are you allowed to legally leave home. I'm sure they'll say Yes*
Sorry to hear you feel you can't stay at home anymore..not even the next 3 weeks till you move to your g/mas house....I hope you have a plan of action ..where you'll sleep/eat....etc.(School) for the next 3 weeks.?? All the Best to you* God Speed*~

legally it is more complicated than you know. even more than any lawyer knows, as it is about you, your father, your mother (?), your grandma and what are happening among all of you, plus, most importantly, whether you can convince the judge... I assume that you have to be taken care of by your father until 18 years old. it is not so long before it anyway. I suggest, until you can write down and straighten out why you want to leave your father, legally dont even try it.

the only way that you can legally leave is if you are in danger or have a fear of your father. if that is the case, go to the police or talk to someone from a home for battered girls. but i hope that is not the case with you. good luck and may God bless you.

If it is that bad, you need to contact a professional. They can get you out of an abusive situation. Otherwise, you will just have to stick it out. Good luck.
