When people start thinking for themselves.

The world (or rather, the entire population OF the world) can only accept any particular idea as an ultimate truth when that idea has been proved, displayed, explained, and revealed, beyond all doubts and counter-arguements, to the satisfaction of all.

To do that, you would have to be able to move in and out of our physical dimension(s), beyond death and back, beyond the universe and back, and display your "proof" to all mankind that "gods do not exist", or find another individual capable of the same.

Since you are incapable of doing that (NO human is capable of doing that), you will not see your philosophy embraced by the world.

Even if you WERE capable of such a thing, there would still be some people that would call you a liar, or a trickster, or depressed, or psychotic, or hallucinating, or just spiritually blind. No matter WHAT "proofs" you can muster, there will always be those who blow you off.

(Athiests do it to Christians ALL THE TIME. No matter how much historical data is presented, no matter how many miracles they see, there is always "some reason" it has to be a fraud.)

Get used to it!

Religions will be in danger of extinction only when the State starts to endorse Atheism as the ultimate truth.

It never will. Atheism is just a way of people expressing themselves in a way they so choose. Atheism is not the ultimate truth. Sure, there is no physical proof proving the existence of God. But their is no evidence proving He doesnt exist.

Atheism will never be the ultimate truth. So accept that, or beleive in whatever you want.

The first, and crucial, step would be for atheism to actually PROVE itself as "the ultimate truth".

Which it hasn't. I doubt that atheism even has a DEFINITION for "the ultimate truth".

It continues to be a matter of faith...and degree of faith. People who have NO faith at all are atheist. People with very little faith are generally agnostic.

Some people have misplaced faith. They have fallen prey to the deceit and deception of any of the many false gods.

The rest are people who have put their faith and trust in the love and mercy of the one true God.

Catholics have an entire coaching on a thank you to be an common soldier. you're meant to flow with an purpose to end the killing, as properly as fairly some different standards (alongside with a serious reason, etc) i in my opinion am a pacifist. i don't think of there is somebody it incredibly is so undesirable that they don't should stay. yet i don't see the place pink and blue tablets come into play. you may properly be a pacifist and a blue or a pink tablet... or vice versa.

When science establishes a permanent rule on the hapless mankind and has us begging on its knees, we will thwart all theistic beliefs and instead adopt scientheism (another form of atheism) as the ultimate truth of the world.

I hope I will not be alive to see such days in my lifetime.

Never.
Even if science could prove there is no god
believers will still believe.
Faith requires no answers but simply the ability
to cast out all other doubt.
This is why nations go to war and there will never be world peace.
Someone always will believe they're right and others are wrong.

Immediately after the rapture of the church would be my guess. At that point, there will be no Spirit-filled Christians around to keep harping on the truth in the prayerful hope that one more atheist will come to faith in Christ. Since we (the "salt" and "light" of the earth, i.e., that which preserves and illumunates the earth) will be gone, you guys will have run of the planet... except of course for those pesky pagans, but you'll get them under control in no time. After all, the Antichrist will eventually be prepared to destroy any ANY religion that won't worship him, so you atheists will be useful to him in the beginning part of the Great Tribulation.

Well. The ultimate truth with respect to religion. Within the next millenia but after my lifetime.

Spunn stole my line. I expect atheism to be very popular just before Jesus comes back. It's in the Book, written ahead of time, so nonbelievers will not be able to say they were not given fair notice. Then, when Jesus comes in the clouds with power and great glory, everyone will be a "believer." People are so fickle.
