I know this is the MOST popular question, but all the previous answers didn't do. Im looking for a gift for her B-day (turning 18). We have been dating for 1 month, but have been very close freinds for a year. I dont want to buy hear jewlry because she is not big on it. I am on a VERY tight budget, and am trying to get something for about 50 dollars.I was going to give her a small gift, and then do something special with her, but any of my ideas seem impractical. She is not asian, but likes asian things like anime. Any suggestions would be welcome!

Perhaps you can get her a gift certificate at a spa..to have a pedicure OR a manicure(feet OR hands)done. That will be about 40.00 for one of the services.
Or you can get her some asian/anime ordiment and cook her and nice dinner for the both of you. With only being partners for a month, but knowing each other for a year...an 18th b/day is a very Special day~* I'm sure whatever you do....she'll love* Just spending time with you will make her day Special~

$50 seems like a lot to spend. Does she like bath stuff, or have a favorite perfume? What about a mani/pedi?
What else is she into besides anime?
And to do something special, what about a picnic at the park or on the beach? What about tickets to a concert she would love or a play or something like that?
What about a framed picture of the two of you as well? Something small but it tells her you are in it for a while.

maybe you should draw her an anime of herself. frame it and write a poem next to it. girls love hand made stuff. or make her a scrap book of memories and her favorite anime. (sorry i'm going back to the anime, but that is the only thing you mentioned she likes)

haha i totally know how u feel. im always on a tight budget. anyway, i know a lot of people who are into anime who like drawing. my sister is and my mom got her these nice calligraphy things and she uses them like everyday! or maybe u can take her ice skating and then afterwards get her favorite anime series. idk, but i hope that helps.

you should give he flowers jewlery and chocolates those are the most loverlest things girls love for there birthday. but if u can not get those things real girl friend would think that the best birthday present would be her boy friend.
