Where did he rest? In that garden right?

So god creates trillions and trillions of stars and planets but he chooses to rest in that garden somewhere in middle-east?

After I make something, I use it, not rest so I think that whole first book is just goofy.

God does not say that he went to sleep. but he said that he worked and made the heaven and the earth and everything in it. Then on the Sabath day he rested. It never tells us where he layed his head down or if he ever did that. That's not to important the important thing is to learn form God. He teached us to wrok but to also keep the Sabath day holy. They say curiosity kills the cat or gorilla, or whatever.
Rest, means STILL, therefore doing nothing, not as rest under a tree. I consider that a break.
I would advise you to be curious of the wrath of God. It will save you not kill. OK, maybe your old self.

do you really think that the self-existing God needs to take a break?
He did that to demonstrate something. so men wouldn't work seven days a week and not have any time to spend with his family. the day of rest was for mankind's recreation and growth. it was made for man, not for God.
and God sees the family unit as something holy, that will produce a godly lineage. that is why we keep it holy.

it could be an allegorical term it didnt make anything after it made us so it rested from making things
