I don't think it's wrong at all. In my family, no adults buy for other adults--we buy for the children only (nieces, nephews, sons and daughters, younger siblings, etc.). Most adults (unless you're practically homeless) don't NEED anything. For kids, Christmas is all about presents and fun; adults should know better and understand the real reason behind the holiday, and know that it's about giving.

I like the idea of presents for the kids and not the grownups. However, if you will be celebrating at their house, you might want to bring a hostess gift such as a bottle of wine, or flowers. More of a token than a serious gift. If you are celebrating with her at someone else's home, I wouldn't worry about it.
I applaud you for staying within your limited budget and not loading up your credit cards. You'll be much better off in the long run.

In my family, the adults have stopped buying gifts for each other and just buy for each others' kids...the family has gotten way too big and it's just too expensive.
Christmas is really more for the little ones anyway. The adults should just be happy with having everyone together for the holidays.

No Christmas is more about the children anyhow hun..Besides if you start sending them all presents then one year when you really can't afford to buy the parents presents then they will be offended.

I think that's fine. In most families, presents are only given to children. It's too expensive include adults. It's not rude at all.

Christmas is for the kids. You don't have to get the mom and bf anything, but if you can afford to a box of chocolates would be appropriate.

It is not wrong. You do not have to buy anyone anything. If you want to buy for her children then I would do it. That does not mean that you are obligated to buy for anyone else.

No, it wouldn't be wrong. I think they'd be happy that you bought the kids something.
