hi, i have regular TV that only has a A/V input (the yellow and white only no red) and i want to know if there's a way to hook up component cables for my ps3 using any kind of adopter. The reason i want to hook up component cables is because my ps3 looks alot better.Please help.

Even if your TV accepted HDMI, if your TV doesn't go higher than 480i then you can use any cable, it will look the same. Your TV has to be able to show a better picture, you can't expect the cable to improve the picture if the TV will not. And if you use an adapter to go from Component to Composite (AV) then you would end up with Composite picture anyway...but they don't make an adapter. I suggest you get a cheap 720p if you want a good picture, HDTVs (no-name brands) can be as cheap as $4-500 if you find a deal, or even some tube TVs go to 720p.

No. Composite (the Yellow video with 2 Audio) and S-Video are only 480i. You need a Component (RGB + 2 Audio) to be able to do even 480p.
