When I saw a girl I liked we would always look at each other when we walk past. And she seems interested in me. Then my friend told her that I liked her and now she's avoiding eye contact with me and sometimes hides behind her friends when she sees me pass by. Is she just not interested anymore or is she just shy?

She's just shy and/or afraid of something awkward that would ruin the relationship you already have with her. Go for it, because you'd regret it if you didn't. :)

You ARE just teens, right? OK, then. If she weren't interested, she probably wouldn't have looked at you every time you walked by in the first place. It seems more likely to me that she's just shy, and maybe embarrassed now that someone has told her you like her. Why not ask her out for some very low-key date, like having a coke with you after school? (The problem may be catching her away fro her friends to ask, but you can probably think of something, like putting a note in her locker. ) If she makes an excuse, then it might be time to cool it.

nope shes not interested. I've done that millions of times before. If a friend tells me a guy likes me and I like him too I'll try to show off or let him see me as much as possible to let him know I like him too. But if I don't like they guy I'll hide behind my friends, make excuses and leave, or do anything to avoid him. But then again that's just how I am and most girls I know. But I still think she is not interested she's probably trying to give you a hint that she doesn't like you but doesn't want to hurt you.

Sometimes girls get shy when they know you know they know you like them. It could also be that one of her friends also likes you to and she doesn't want to hurt her friend. Just give her a little time to settle down and try talking to her again. If you can work up the nerve just ask her if she isn't interested. Confidence is the key.

YES.
this is somewhat normal for a girl to do.
Girls just like to have fun and flirt.
once they find out people think you like her and stuff
the girl wont like being talked about , so they avoid all the 'drama' i guess you could say
She can be shy or just not interested
but don't push yourself on her or try to make conversation
that will just scare her away even more
don't talk about how she is acting with her friends
I know this sounds weird - but you have to avoid her for a while
then develop a stable friendship ; relationship ; or w/e

Most likely, she's shy beyond all reason and doesn't know how to react. Talk to her.

It's unlikely that she's hiding between friends because she isn't interested. Not only is that immature, it's also not very effective (you can see her).

Ask your friend how she reacted when he told her. That may shed more light on the issue. Good luck. I say you've got it though!

Great question! Guys no affence but know NOTHING about girls. Its totally normal. She is just shy and nervous that the fact that she know you likes her. and is nervous in if you talk to her and say you don't like her back. Trust me same thing happened to me and it was sooo embarassing!!! So she probably still likes you. Don't talk to her at school. Try e-mailing her and saying about what you think about the whole thing instead because she is probably shy and thinks if he talks to me OH NO I'm like gonna totally be stupid cuz who knows she may like you back. Don't call her cuz she's not gonna answer just text her or e-mail her! Good Luck!

She's being immature. I would think that she's trying to avoid you because she just doesn't want to see you in that way or kind of relationship, know what I mean? But who knows, she might have a crush on you too and is just shy.

It sounds like she may not be interested, but you will never know if you dont ask. Just come out and say "hey I have noticed you have been avoiding me, is there something wrong" Whats the harm?

She is probably shy, it is normal because now she knows and it may seem weird. Trust me, a guy I liked did that to me before and I did avoid him but now we are going out. Trust me, it will work out.
